Book outcome set in stone?

Is the outcome of a book (hit, best seller etc) set the moment your sim start writing the book or can you choose to save the game when your sim has finished the book up to 99% and reload your game if it is a hit while you're aming for a best seller to try again?

I don't know Leto, but, my guess is it is predetermined as the rate per section varies from book to book.  You start a book and recieve 9 simoleons (children's book) for each interim payment, the book is unlikely to be a best seller, but if you get 14 simoleons, the book probably will be a best seller.  That is what I have observed, but, I could be wrong about the best seller/hit being fixed.

That's what I thought as well, but after I saw my second book got me less simoleons per chapters compared to the previous best seller and this one also turned out to be a best seller I had to drop that theory.

Result is rolled after book completion. So you can quit without saving to have the game roll for another outcome.

Whaha, really? and I was reloading upon rewriting complete masterpieces when I got a hit instead of a best seller. :P
