Seasons Length

I have been playing with the default settings of 7 days per season but I don't think that is enough.  What is the best length to have each season as it goes up to 28 days each?

It's really an individual preference. I'm quite happy with mine at seven days each, but some people feel that's way too short. You can try changing the length of them and seeing what you like most.

I saw someone recommend that you set the seasons to 9 days, so that the holiday would always fall on a weekend. If you are playing a more goal oriented game that sounds like a good idea.

Also, I think it depends a lot on what age setting you use. If you play on normal (90) sim days I think 7 is fine, if you play on long you might want to get longer seasons.

Personally I vary my seasons in length depending on which world I play in.

I have my life stages off the default, two for babies, nine for child, 10 for teens, 50 for adults, 25 for elders.  But, I am doing personal dynasties, so I wanted such long days. 

I went with that to some extent but also used how I personally feel about seasons.  Winter is default, seven.  Summer is I think 15 but Spring and Fall so far are set for  25.  If it doesn't stop raining so much (five days straight in Fall?) I may change it, I don't want that much realism.   
My sims so far haven't reached Winter or Spring season.  Just Summer and Fall, not looking forward to Winter.  I wonder if they have black ice in winter?  Again, realism too far if they do.

Anyhow, I would suggest that you jut play around and find what works best for you. Lenghten seasons you like and shorten the ones you don't; or have fun and flip a coin or put numbers in a cup and chose one.

I've played winter for 9 days and have yet to see any sort of ice other than ice rinks/frozen ponds. My sim even taught his daughter to drive in a heavy snow storm and they came through without a single swerve on the snowy roads. I was kind of hoping she'd swerve a little on the turns but no such luck.

I put 14 days for summer, 10 for fall, 10 for winter (hate the cold), and 12 for spring.

I play on lifespan baby-3, toddler-7, child-14, teen-28, young adult and adult-24 and elder-20.  I play with 30 added days so im not sure what length to do.

I've been playing between 10 and 15 days for each season. I think it works pretty well with a slightly extended lifespan - somewhere between normal and long. I think 7 days is a little too brief but ten to fifteen days lets me do a little more of the seasonal activities while still working on a career/skill goal.

I'd quite like the 'Seasonal Festival Day' to fall on the weekend, even though you get paid for the time off, it just feels like they are off work alot when they could be earning that promotion.  Or as in my case you fall pregnant, have a little one and then have maternity leave, and a festival day and are off almost 10 days 

Think I have added 25 days on to my lifespan so will have to work out if it's possible.

I think so, it was mentioned in a discussion about reaching life state dynasty goals. I'm not sure if it's right though, since I haven't tried it out myself.

Thank you, because that would be good for people doing challenges that require children and teens to be on the honor roll.
