How to Have Fun
« on: November 19, 2012, 04:52:31 AM »
Strange and interesting (or cheap!) ways for your sims to have fun:

Watch insects in terrariums - I think it must have a fun +10 value, because my sim went from half green to nearly full green in 20 mins

Add your ways for sims to increase their fun meter.

Woohooing. The fun is full before the course of interaction even begins. Alright that is too obvious.

Well, martial arts sparring also increases fun.

That only restore the Fun bar back to 50% though. Also destress and gives a +15 moodlet for 8 hours. That is quite a powerful action.

It also freezes fun for the duration of the buff. :) Very powerful indeed.

Yes Neurotic trait used to be one of my favourite trait ever. :)

Anyway, time travelling also fills fun, and makes money and treasures.

Uh dude, I tested your claim, and it does not freeze fun or prevent decay.  ??? What gives?

I thought it prevented the fun bar dropping below half way. At the very least, it stops stressed moodlets, which is very helpful for hard-working sims - because once a sim gets too stressed they are no longer able to use the 'work hard' tone, thus reducing the chance of maxing performance and earning a promotion.

Neat sims have fun cleaning the house, I hate it when sims live in a mess so I always have one sim with this trait. Neurotic obviously has been said. To raise the bar quickly I also like the use of the hot tub, destresses and they can have fun. New favorite form of entertainment is the basketball court, and they gain athletic skill.

Obviously evil/mean spirited get a kick out of stealing candy from babies, and I think it increases their happiness bar

So basically Tranquil prevents stress for the duration of the buff? Neurotic is still very powerful consider how long for bubble bath to get the same Tranquil buff.

Anyway, sims with No Sense of Humor trait will Have a Blast for 15 hours, so you can woohoo, go to sleep, wake up and still have enough Have a Blast to go to work. Fun bar also decays slower for them.

Sitting in a rocking chair increases energy and fun -- great for a Sim that you're not paying much attention to. Both the Vial of Bliss and Potent Vial of Bliss increase fun and social.

Golf also increases fun quite well not to mention having the bonus of increasing Athleticism (albeit slowly)
