"Wow, what a surprise, considering how many wonderful entries there were this round.  Fall is my favorite season of the year, and I love the colors that go with it.  So it was really fun to try to stick to the color scheme, and I loved seeing how everyone else interpreted "autumn."  Every time I saw someone else's entry I saw so many great ideas, like the hay bales and pumpkins, or the chinchilla painting I can never find a place for.  So many pretty houses!  It's a real honor to have mine chosen as the winner.  Thanks to all who voted for me!"

The Contest is now open for comments! All the entries were so amazing! Everyone did so well with the specifications and each entry was just perfect! Looking forward to seeing some seasonal winter builds from all of you now!

I had a lot of fun with this contest. Autumn is my favorite time of year but I seldom use those colors in my buildings. I just love to be challenged .

Congratulations to everyone that entered this wonderful contest. It was an other contest that was hard when voting started. There were so many that were just so awesome that it made it difficult only choosing 3. Great job everyone !

Thanks for the congratulations, saltpastillen and ladybug53.  I'm also open for comments, because it's always good to know what people like best and least. 

saltpastillen, I really liked the shape of your main house, and the brown siding.  It looked perfect in Hidden Springs.  If I would have changed anything, it woud have been to add some more detail to the outside of the storage bulding, maybe using some of the barn-style paneling to add wooden edges to the stone, or something like that. (That's a really minor thing, though.)  I did also think a couple of the patterns clashed too much for my own particular taste -- especially in the bunkbed room. 

ladybug53, I also really liked your entry, and loved the interior colors.  Very nice.  If I had to change something, I would have tweaked the roof a little.  Those two towers are too close in size and height, maybe... they don't really work well with the tall gable in my opinion. 

Neashaleigh, I loved your kitchen, and I really loved the shape and layout the house.  Very pretty and practical too.  I might have tried to vary the interior colors some more (though I know that was tricky when we're limited!).  Mostly though, for me the colors look overly saturated and sometimes too dark or bright, so it's hard to see details.  The living room has got that issue the most for me -- might be that my monitor renders them differently than yours.

Thank you. I do admit for some reason my screenshots come out quite dark. The ceiling, for example, is not black. It's cream. Same with the curtains in the living room. They look so dark in the photo. I must try to take several shots at different times of the day to try to get the best lighting. I'll work on that for next time.

Neashaleigh, I loved your entry. Your house is very lovely and your landscaping is excellent. The design of the house is also very nice. I always think your sense of style and decor is amazing. You are a great builder. Sorry to hear you're having problems with your photos showing darkness in some areas. Hope you can find something to help correct this issue. I think overall you did an amazing job.

I will try very hard to correct my roof issue. Sometimes, on certain buildings it's very difficult to build a roof that makes sense and still looks good.

It makes me so happy to see so many entries! It was really hard to vote this week.

@saltpastillen: I love the wood and stone textures you used, especially on the exterior. They look fantastic with the Hidden Springs lawn. Like intl_incident, my main criticism is the colour of some of the other patterns. I think they'd look much nicer if you strayed from the default colours more. Other than that, great job. Your entry was one of my favourites. 

@ladybug: I think you did a lovely job with the colours you were given. The master bedroom is my favourite, and I love that you used that Pets fireplace! If I had to suggest an improvement it would be to brighten a few of your colours, but that could easily be personal preference on my part.

@Neashaleigh: I thought you would've had loads of votes! The exterior is very warm and cosy-looking. For the interior, I had similar thoughts to intl_incident.

@intl_incident: Congratulations! I'm a big fan of your work, especially the softer patterns and colours you use. I especially loved the living room, the study, and the bedroom with the charcoal bedspread. I personally wouldn't have put so much detail on the exterior, but it works for you.

And some peoples strength might lie in taking images as you mentioned. I think the really cool thing about these competitions isn't so much about winning but growing as a builder, at least that is what I see in them and why I join. They allow you to really try things you wouldn't otherwise (like in this one I utilised colours I normally do not and you might be learning how to take better images to showcase your work) and that is the real cool reason to join in on the fun But I do see what you mean, maybe a future contest suggestion might be to hide voting results, it can be quite discouraging to see there are no votes or only a few votes, we really do only need to see the winner correct

There is no way to hide the results after the poll expires. If I could do that then I would do that, I can hide them whilst the poll is running but once it expires they reveal the results. I could talk to Carl and see if there is anything he could do. On the other hand if you were to know if you were getting no votes etc. you wouldn't know if how far off first place you were and that you didn't meet the brief well or something like that. Knowing that can get some good constructive feedback on how to improve.

Just because you don't get many results doesn't make you any less talented, it all comes down to personal taste when voting and everyone only had a maximum of three votes, you could be their fourth favourite of a lot of people but just miss out on votes etc.

Oh, please don't be discouraged Neashaleigh. Your house was beautiful and you should be very proud of it. There could be any number of reasons why it got no votes. As Samoht said, with only three votes to give, it may have just missed a vote many times. I must confess that I had intentions of voting in this round and I downloaded every house, but unfortunately before I had a chance to live in each house, real life caught up with me and before I realized, the voting was over

I always find it too hard to vote - there's just too many good entries that there's no way I could ever only pick three!
