Seasons and Story Progression

Has anyone experimented with turning EA's Story Progression off and playing multiple households? I'm interested to see how No Story Progression + Seasons turns out - does each household have an individual series of Seasons, or does SP not touch the Seasons. I'm considering playing with SP off (first time in 3 years ) but I'm first interested to see how Seasons affects this.

What I mean is, when you play one household then switch to another, are the Seasons carried on or do you start afresh?
