The Stones Throw Greenhouse Venue and New Premium Content

I think the pictures at the bottom of the store page show all the content included with the Set.

Yeah, that's how I did it.  It was easiest to have my browser open and the launcher open so I could go back and forth between the two.

Thanks for that suggestion.  I was able to find all of the items and many of them I didn't realize came with the greenhouse, so I'm sure that's why I can't get it working right.  I'll start fresh on it.

I just purchased the Greenhouse and was excited until I realized I don't know how to plany items inside the greenhouse.  Is there a way to plant indoors other then using the move cheat?  Actually why hasn't EA already made it to where the greenhouse wasn't considered outdoors to at least plant inside?

The moveobjects on cheat is the only way to plant inside the greenhouse. There could be mods but I don't know.

If you have Supernatural, you can also plant non-trees in the planters.

Alternatively, you can also build most of a greenhouse (leave 1 wall section missing so it's exposed to the outdoors), plant away, then finish building.

You can actually plant indoors easily as long as moveobjects is on while in live mode. With that cheat, it's the same as planting outdoors.

No it's not. Anytime I use the water plant interaction, the water comes on for about 2-5 seconds than goes off again. I play on speed 3, so if you use 1 or 2 it might take longer.

Why does everyone say this? The planters included with the green house (and I think one of the expansions) provide a non-cheating method to plant indoors. I'm not sure if you can use them for trees, but all other garden plants do. The only disadvantage is you cannot grow as many plants at once since you can't place them as tightly as you can outdoors and each planter only allows one plant. But there is no unfinished moodlet either as long as the room is finished.

Maybe in the future EA will release long and/or large planters.

I really hope this isn't too out of place, and I hate to revive an older topic but I've been going around with some ideas and I'm not sure of what to do.
I recently passed a very important test and I want to reward myself for being awesome, so I thought about investing in some Simpoints. I was interested in the Stones Throw Greenhouse because I like seasons and I like gardening but I don't like them together. Even with the planters it's very hard to have a nice garden when your plants are dormant for 3 out of 4 seasons (on a normal lifespan). I've been reading this thread closely and I see a lot of hassle that's making me change my mind and spend my simpoints elsewhere and maybe wait until the greenhouse premium items go on sale separately (as I just wanted to have the automatic plant watering system/fertilizer from the sunflower, etc).

Can someone tell me if there's a difference between the Greenhouse and my Sim's own version of a greenhouse (besides the look of it, I guess) with an upgraded sprinkler?

Granted, I really like the idea of the premium content. I just don't want to make such a large investment when I'm so unsure about it.

Sorry again if this doesn't fit in the topic, I'm just curious to see what those who've bought the item think of it as a set.

I've had the Stones Throw Greenhouse since it was released, and I find it to be a quite a useful set. The fertilising station actually grows and produces faster (twice a day) and you can talk to and fertilise your plants all at once. There's also some nice CAS stuff, matching furniture and of course the build mode pieces. I'd buy it on sale if you can get it.

The greenhouse with the set is a community lot that you can put down elsewhere. So the only difference between theirs and yours is that yours is on a private lot.

Also, even with the planters, your plants shouldn't be going dormant while indoors - only when outdoors (or planted during a dormant season, I guess). So I guess make sure you're enclosing all your walls and putting a roof on it.

I, too, have had it since release, and the station/sunflowers is a plus to me (while carrying the sunshine in your inventory, it's a nice moodlet for most sims). Also, you can drag them to nooboo inventories for an additional mood boost to them.
