Note to self: Don't use Sunlight As a fertilizer after immediately working gardener to bone. Have to harvest it all again.  >:(

Shirin and AnnDruvez: Yes, the gardening center will water planters.

Hurray! Thanks so much!

I think it is really cool, that when you use the sunshine for fertilizer, it weeds your plants and grows them to harvestable almost immediately, depending on the growth cycle your plants are in.  Sure saves on weeding and watering.  That is probably one of the neatest features yet. :)

It seems to have glitched out some of my plants. They spent an entire day growing back immediately after I'd harvested them again. Thankfully, it regulated itself, but I was feeling bad for poor Perenelle.

I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner.  :-[ I thought the point of a greenhouse was to grow plants no matter what the weather, but since that's not the case I guess I'm saving some money next month!  ::) I might just buy Diesel since that's the only one I'm missing.

I don't have season's yet, so am not bothered by the weatherproofing.  I hope they fix this before I get seasons though.  However, the sunflower and planting station are useful.  I have just harvested plants less than 48 sim hours after planting.  Talking to the plants gets them to grow and become harvestable extremely quickly.  I hadn't worked out the value of the sunflower, but, now I know, growing should be a breeze.  Being able to identify seeds is also a great feature, no more planting rows and rows of seeds in the hope that one will be a life plant.  Those little globes of sunshine are great if you cash them in early in the game, they yield far more than money trees and are productive from day one.

Good news to anyone who has this venue. There is a fix in the works and if successful, it should be available next week.

This is from SimGuruCopeland

I wanted to give another quick update.
We have a solution that looks very promising and is presently being tested. We are focused on the following:

• Making sure the elements don’t appear indoors
• Plants dormancy issue
• Countering the unfinished room moodlet

If we’re able to verify this is a successful solution (ETA is sometime next week) we will repost the venue to be downloaded.

Not sure if this solution will be applied to greenhouses we build ourselves with the pieces or just the venue. I have asked and am waiting for a reply.

Ah that's good. I don't have Seasons yet and if I were to make any lots using it that I'd want to use again (I've only played around with it so far) then I would't want them to let snow in if I did get Seasons.  :P

On the topic of identifying seeds, wondering if anyone has noticed something similar to me. I identified everything in my inventory. Once I'd done that, all the rare seeds were together in a stack, uncommon, special, etc. So I'd click on the upper left corner to see what I had. But when I clicked on a specific seed that was not the top seed in the stack and told my sim to plant it, the seed would just disappear, though the stack still claimed it had 11 seeds or whatever in it. I also can't move a specific seed out into its own stack or move the whole stack at once into someone else's inventory, and when the stack claimed it had 11 seeds but was showing only 9 I tried to move them one at a time to someone else's inventory to see if the "invisible" ones would show up, but the stack disappeared after I'd moved two.

And it was my special seeds... :(

Yeah I just had the same issue and I think part of it is because one of the seeds weren't actually identified.  It had a blank name like it was the Omniplant or something.  Considering the Omniplant has been getting stuck in people's inventory since patch 1.42 came out I'm concerned this may be related.

I just started using this item though and I think it's just a little overpowered.  I mean wow!

Overpowering seems to be a common theme. :P My family is stinking rich now after Isabella found a piece of tiberium in the elixir consignment shop for $109.

I at least have the collection helper so with that and the Lunar Lakes spawner thread I'll try to just build up my collection of special seeds again. They've just been "abducted" from their home in Twinbrook (where she found the original seeds) so maybe some of the edibles got made useless by space radiation. ;)

Has anyone else noticed seeds spawning under the SwiftGro Gardening Station? I found about three of them under there, the thing that makes me wonder if that spawns them is that I don't recall a spawner being in that spot before, I know there is a seed spawner elsewhere on my lot but not there. I have a Dog and a Horse if that might be the actual cause but only the dog has access and the horse is locked out (for obvious reasons, Lol).

It does spawn seeds.  I believe it is a 70% spawn rate.

If you have buydebug enabled, you'll see the seed spawner.  When I first saw it, I thought is was a left over spawner on my bulldozed lot, and deleted it.  But I have two starions and saw the same with the other.  Incidently they both seem to work in unison.  If I fertilize with one station, the other fertilizes too, the same with watering.  My stations spawn mainly common or uncommon seeds on my lot.
