Unless things are different in your location Gwendy, The Sims 3 store does indeed accept credit cards.

Otherwise, you could also use an EA GiftCard/Cashcard (the ones I've seen are buyable in $20 increments).  I admit, I tend to do this myself (very easy to control spending, etc.)
Well, what I do is buy those prepaid visa gift cards, and they have one worth worth exactly 35 dollars, so I can get the world, and Tia can get her farmer's market. :)
The Hideous Immortal Dynasty

I think those pictures gave me heartburn.

The Sims 3 store didn't want to take either my Canadian pre-paid mastercard, or my Bank of Montreal pre-paid mastercard. I'm not sure if it's the cards themselves, or the store. When I tried to set up a paypal account with the BMO pre-paid card, it wouldn't let me do that either so I had to link Paypal to that bank account.

In love with this new town. It fits my normal building style wonderfully, and is just so gorgeous

Little annoyed that EA are still refusing to give us buildings for each expansion that fit in with the town, but the number of empty lots meant that it wasn't that difficult for me to stick some of the expansions buildings in and retexture them, replace windows etc. etc. so that they looked like they fit in. However, in comparison to other store-bought towns this is an annoyance I'm willing to put up with to deal with this town, whereas other earlier store towns are just not worth the effort. Does also mean that if I were to do a challenge here I'd be unable to add in buildings that fit with the town, seeing as editing EA buildings for any reason is normally not allowed, but eh.

It could be your card companies blocking it as well - they're so security conscious now.  A couple years ago, I planned a trip to visit family in the states (I live in Scotland).  Booked everything through my credit card - no problem.  Took the trip, got to the airport to get my rental car - my credit card was refused so I had to pay a cash deposit (was late at night).  Called the next day and was told that because the charge was from outside my home country, they had assumed fraud and put a hold on my credit card...  <shakes head>

I so love this world! Currently I'm doing an immortal dynasty in this world, trying at least. (still need to finish a dynasty :P) The world is really beautiful and gives a nice feel to my dynasty and also there is some good spouse material! I'm glad I bought it!

The ambitions salon fits in quite well retextured, I never felt it really fitted in other towns but here it does.

Having recently got pets I was pleasantly surprised to find it had it's own set of ambitions buildings and a dive bar in the bin, the fire station went straight into my Riverview game, so did the salon. As this is such a themed world it would have been nice if they had done the same here, they did make provision for them at least with all the 30x20 plots about.

I put the salon one side of the spa and consignment the other in my game, retextured they don't look too out of place. I've so far built my own horse ranch, festival lot (tried the EA one but preferred my own) a performance park and a junkyard all in the style of the other buildings but the equestrian center looks really out of place and I didn't bother with the movie lot because that would be an eyesore. I wish we could CAST rabbit holes, not that it would make the movie lot any prettier.

So far though I am loving this place, it is just so pretty, but not sure if it's a routing thing or what is causing it as it's totally locked up on me about 4 times now, the plumbob still turns and the visual effects still happen but unlike a normal stutter than usually corrects after a little this never does (i've left it for 10-15 minutes and nothing) and I have to quit with task manager. Never had it do that to me in any town before this one and not even Twallans mods fix it  :(

Bought this yesterday along with the greenhouse and the Al Fresco Market.

I'm testing out the gardening stuff, so I really haven't been able to explore the town that much. There are plenty of open lots to place buildings. But there are a lot of buildings you'll have to place if you are used to certain things. Consignment store for one. And no Festival park either. But on the good side, it's fairly flat, so if you need to add some lots you can.

It tells you that the soil is really good, so you don't need to use fertilizers. I do notice that anything I plant gets 2 upgrades. However, I'm using the Swift Grow station, so that might have something to do with it.

The biggest downside is that both of the single women I met turned into vampires after I met them. Good thing this isn't a dynasty try.

You can always turn off vampires and there is a festival park - it just has to be downloaded from the exchange.  SimGuruGraham made it and it's very well done.

Does Monte Vista come out for SimPints as well some day? I'm really not sure. I heard it somewhere but I don't know if it's true or not.

Monte Vista can only be purchased with real money, not simpoints.  It will be available, starting in January, as a disc you can purchase at your local game store.

I'm very pleased with Monte Vista! I was quite wary about making the purchase because LuckyPalms was a disappointment (LP is a gorgeous town but something just doesn't 'click', you know.)

But so far this towns clicks with me I can see myself becoming very attached to this one. Maybe it's my European roots? The townies are attractive with good traits. I always have natural cook/green thumb sims and they have to trouble making friends and sharing recipes.

Very pretty architecture as well. And I can make PIZZA! YUM!

Thumbs Up!

So far I love this world. My only complaint is there are no supernaturals. My sim has met about 20 sims and so far none are occult. There are zombies but we have seen no other occults yet.

All you have to do is give it time if you have all of the supernaturals turned on - plus 20 sims is nowhere near the total amount of sims in any town.

I have quite a few werewolf and fairy in my town. Maybe it needs a little more time.  :)
