Monte Vista is the new town coming in January to the TS3 store and to retail stores.  It's supposed to remind people of Italy and it looks absolutely gorgeous from what I've seen.

I think pumpkin pie is unlocked around level 5 or 6 of cooking skill. Under desserts. Might not be able to make it if you're using an older sim who has already passed those cooking skill levels.

My sim learned pumpkin pie from watch the Cooking Channel on TV. He had to watch for a couple sim hours before getting it.

Are the other towns released in stores? I got Hidden Springs that way. Maybe I need to go to Gamestop and see if they have any of the other towns there. Monte Vista sounds amazing!

Monte Vista's not even released yet, and the only two worlds i've seen in a store are Barnacle Bay and Hidden Springs. As far as I know Lunar Lakes, Lucky Palms and Sunlit Tides are all simpoints only.

I think this time EA will release Monte Vista in stores as well as on the online store. Beware that, just as with previous worlds released that way, you'll only get a code in a box to redeem on the online store and that will let you download the new world. Isn't it expected around December/January?

Let's hold off on the talk about Monte Vista until it is officially announced. Until then, it is still just a rumor!

For a rumour, it's a solid one since it was shown in some of the latest live chats and SimGuruSmitty, the dev who works on store worlds, regularly tweets about it😉. Ea could always decide not to release it, but I doubt it.

That may be true, but we have made it a point to treat news of upcoming content, be it EP's, worlds or whatever, as rumors until an official announcement is released on the Sims3 site. At this point, this is still only in development. While it is only in development talk of what will and will not be in it is still speculative.

You're right. Thanks for the explanation, it makes the line between official news and speculation clearer. That said, I hope they'll announce officially soon, the world looks very original and beautiful.
