They can still regenerate Brain energy but it does not remove the tired moodlet so they are forced to sleep.  Its become really really annoying.  Im afraid to let it go but they will litrally go into the red as far as happiness goes if they do not get sleep just like a normal Sim.

Wow, that is really weird. I'd suggest trying to reset the sim. By pressing Control-Shift-C you'll open the console input line at the top of the screen where you can type ResetSim <firstname>, <lasname>
Doing that will reset the named sim to a safe location in the game and may (I reapeat "MAY") clear up that needing sleep glitch. It may not but it sounds worth a try. It certainly won't hurt your sim in any way.

Thanks for the reply.  I have tried a reset a few times now over the last few days and while it appears to work for a few days it all of a sudden starts happening again.  I'm starting to think it may have something to do with the moodlet mobile reward.  But I am not sure... I guess ill keep testing.

Thankyou for your help.

I've been collecting enough aliens to populate a world. In a sense I've been abducting aliens. ;)
Awesome! When you post that world, (and if I have Seasons by then) I hope that you'll post it on the Swap Shop.

Had an alien visit my female and they became friends. She then had a pool party and invited him. I was surprised when he showed up. Totally different looking from his space outfit. Turns out he was older than anything and not much fun. However, he did flirt with many of the male guests.

Edit: In my new game (ditched that one due to an issue), my sim went to her vacation home in France and an alien showed up at her door. She became instant friends due to charisma and invited her to move in. She was old with a can and looked like this:

When they got home, my witch threw the "Fountain of Youth" elixir at her and this is what she looked like (I did not make any CAS changes):

Edit: Well apparently making her younger caused something else. The alien was on her way to do a commercial (she gained 3 stars from being romantically involved with my sim) and gets a notice "to graduate"! My sim had to srop what she was doing (i.e. feeding her ex-husband's kid) to attend the ceremony.

I also should mention, that my witch upgraded the space ship faster than the alien! OnThe alien (level 9 in handiness) was upgrading for the cannons; while my witch in half the time upgraded for space flight.

The next generation will also inherit their parent's alien abilities.  Astra, the daughter of my male sim, had, as I knew she would, the special abilities.  What I hadn't expected was for her children to have the same abilities.  She married a full sim and they have had two children, boy and girl.  I was able to hear their voices as a baby, so I didn't expect anything special, they would be normal sim kids.
The day they became teens, they had the brain power, need to consume space rocks and can do the repair broken objects and  I think it is called transmute (where they can increase the value of a gem or metal).  Their skin isn't as green, but it is not the normal sim shade either.  They have the big black eyes and the pointed ears, as their parent has.  They also, like their parent, don't need much sleep, they can go without sleep for a couple of days, if not longer, haven't tried to see  how long they cn go without anyone sleeping in

I'm still testing to see if the male can be abducted and become pregnant.

I was just surprised to see Astra's children, who are basiclaly 1/4 alien, have the alien abilities.

I've discovered that it's not possible to save a pre-pregnant Sim (carrying an alien). I tried it with Connor Frio. He was abducted, returned and got the extra weight moodlet. It was about three hours to go until the birth and I saved him to my bin. I put him in a town and he didn't have the moodlet, but was very fat. I waited 2 days and he never gave birth. I put him on the treadmill and he lost all the weight, as if it was just fat. I was a bit disappointed because when I was saving him to the bin, I lost the original impregnated Connor Frio so I'm yet to have an alien baby in my game  :(

I saved my sim who was pregnant and moved him to another game, same town.  He was stil pregnant though, I thought it was from a previous save where he wasn't pregnant.   I needed the firstborn, who was full human and still a child for an experiment.

A glitch in that game?  I'm going to see what happens if a family, who has a male pregnant with an alien, is saved and moved to another town, and also to another town in a different game.
Curious as to what will happen.

Obviously there is no rhymn or reason to abductions. My sim has no space rocks, low logic level and was abducted. She was jamming with friends at Eugi's in Bridgeport, when she stopped because she heard something. She went outside, the rest of the people continued jamming, and she was abducted. Glad females don't get pregnant from alien abductions!

Instead of saving him to the bin, go into edit town and savet the household. You can then place the same household in another town or game. That might keep the pregnancy. I'd try it, but my computer is maxed out and can't handle another expansion pack.

Yes, that's what I meant. I saved them (him and my Sim) to the family bin.

My current game has been a mass of glitches and problems so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised my alien pregnancy went wrong too. I started in Riverview intending to do the showtime lifetime wishes but later moved to Starlight Shores as it was so buggy and I thought I could finish it faster there. Well the bugs followed me too but I was determined to complete it.

Dallas my magician got abducted during singer Dimitri's big show, he just stopped watching went outside and got taken away. I saved when he was pregnant but it took forever to do and I wasn't certain it had worked properly, well he had the baby okay but it wasn't like those in this thread, the portrait on the left looked greeny gray the baby looked tanned, then a short while after the portrait changed too, a few minutes after that the babies skin went a lot darker.

Last day of pregnancy, never seen a fat Dallas before so this was new.

Birth

And alien but not so alien baby

Shortly after my game crashed and unfortunately I was right about my pregnancy save, it was a dud and wont load. so I lost her  :( I'm guessing she was faulty anyway judging by her ever changing skin tone.

Still i've done the lifetime wishes now so I can bin this buggy game and maybe one day get a proper alien baby.

I was able to check back to see if my male sim, pregnant, had kept the baby when they moved.  I found out that I moved him just hours after the baby was born.  So, that didn't help.

I did do a test with the same family.  Took a much older save, where he was pregnant and moved to another house and no problem, still pregnant.
Moved to another game in same town, no pregnancy.  Moved to another town totally, still no pregnancy.  A bummer.  You can wait until the baby is born and then move, the baby will stay an alien, but it has to be done after the birth.

So far I haven't had a pregnancy where there was a problem with skin or not a mix of human/alien.  Even the second generation had the alien abilities and looks, although the skin wasn't as green.  I am working on the third to see if that baby has the alien abilities and if the skin color goes more "human".  How many generations does the alien abilities last?

The skin color and ears can be put with any Sim, I doubt it matters if they have it. The skin doesn't matter, what classifies them as an alien is the powers, not the skin color or ears. Aliens in CAS are considered humans.

Yes, the skin color and ears can be made in CAS, but that is not what I am talking about, these are aliens, they have their own genetic skin color, abilities.

In CAS I can make a sim purple and give them pointed ears, fangs, bald, and many other things; but the alien powers, the alien eyes, that can't be made in CAS. At least not to my knowledge.  Only aliens have the power bar, the ability to consume space rocks, probe and give/drain from a sim.  How long are those abilities passed on?  Has anyone continued past the third generation?  So far, with mine, the third generation may have those abilities, my sim hasn't gown to child yet.  I am going to go and play that game now; I have a feeling that I will have to advance that child to YA quickly to check that out.

Edited

I was too impatient to wait and see if anyone has raised a sim alien child to more than one generation.  So, I aged my sims to get the answers.

First generation is Astra whose father is human and other parent is alien.
I was unable to hear her voice as a baby, toddler and child.  When she turned teen I could hear her voice and the brain power bar showed up.  There was no energy bar, and she had the ability to drain or give energy, probe and repair objects.  She could consume rocks and restore energy.  She needed very little sleep so it is definitely a good thing for jobs that require long hours of work.
Second generation, she and hubby Taber had two children, boy and girl (Megena).  Both were unable to be heard as babies, toddler and child.  When they turned teen I could hear their voices.  Like their mother, they had the green skin, large black eyes and pointed ears; although it was a bit lighter in the shade of green.  At teen they were as their mother, consume rock and rest.
Third generation, Megana and her hubby had a baby. lighter green skin, large eyes and pointed ears.   With Star I was able to hear her voice as a baby, I could just hear it, but it was there.  As toddler, I could still hear her voice and at child the same, light but it was there. I aged her up quickly from toddler to teen to see if she had the abilities of her parent.  None, she has the light green skin, but just a hint of green, large eyes and pointed ears, no eyebrows, but does have hair, but I had given hair to Astra when she was born and her hubby (human) had hair so that is probably the reason.  Aged her up to teen, she has all the same bars as a full human teen does, none of the abilities of an alien.

My plans are to take the male alien child of another sim family, age him up and then move him to that town and get him and Star married to see how many generations are added by adding his bloodline. I think I will also move him to the town so I can see if he is married to Megana, and I know that Star will then have some alien abilities, but will her offspring?   That I want to find out.

As a  note, I think the voice problem, not being able to hear them is due to my sound card, it is not a high quality and so I think affected the ability for it to be created.
