Your sim doesn't have to be in a set location.  Inside, outside, it doesn't matter.  I had them abducted when they were walking up the sidewalk or called outside and be taken.

I had several abductions and no pregnancy, it is totally random, and for some reasons they can visit a home a lot or never visit.

Also, in case some don't know, only males can get pregnant, not sim females.

I had to uninstall a game for a new expansion pack and Seasons was it, I really, really miss having the alien kids, bummer.

I never had any show up before midnight, but it was as late as 5:00 for a few visits, not a lot, but some.

Does that include visits as well as abductions? I was wondering if your Sims needed to be inside before they'd even approach your lot for a Visit.

As far as I know you don't have to be inside for them to visit.

Remember you could collect space rocks to increase the likely-hood of alien visits.

You don't have to be inside.  Had a visitor one evening and my sim was outside raking leaves.  She came over and he talked to her, which gave them a relationship.

Several phone calls later, an invite to visit and then move in, next step was they married.

Since I had to uninstall SEA to play IP, that is as far as it went with the marriage.

I recently got Seasons (due to the black Friday origin sale). One of my Sims  got abducted not long after I'd installed Seasons. She was in bed and raced out to the front yard to investigate the "mysterious lights". The same Sim, the next night, had an alien checking out her garden, while she was asleep. I woke her up and she raced out to meet them but I wasn't quick enough.
On one of my other games, I've had no abductions but I've had two different aliens visit, they come up to her front door.  Which is strange, because I've read that visits were rare? The first Sim did have a few space rocks in her inventory, and the other one has a large one in her garden. They also both have high logic skills, so not sure if that makes a difference. They both have telescopes, but don't use it very often.
The household that has males in it, has a ton of space rocks in the yard, and I always make the father use the telescope between midnight and about 4am, but they've yet to have an abduction or visit.

I have a female Sim whom I promised myself would spend one Sim year single, I have my seasons set to the max 28 days.  In that time, she's become a writer and moved into a nicer house.  She's basically establishing herself and making some good friends.

Aliens will not leave her alone (neither will the single men, bunch of gold diggers lol).

They show up almost every night, they've tried to abduct her more than once.  She keeps getting the "investigate mysterious anomaly" moodlet and the only way to make that go away is to edit town and save her to the bin so the moodlet cancels.

I don't want her abducted, I don't like the aliens.

How do I make them go away and leave her alone?

She is a level 10 logic because I had her making some money on the side while leveling up her writing career by searching the galaxy.  She has never collected a space rock and has none on her lot.  She's moved three times as she's moved up her career and they keep going to her new home.

Any suggestions?

I'm not expert, but could it be a glitch?  I don't have seasons any more, but I never had that extent of a problem with aliens.
As for the males being a pest, that is due to a EA lousy relationship design.  Or whatever you want to call it.  They had the right thought but somehow what was on paper didn't work game wise.

In that aspect, I don't think you can do much.  Calls from males, females hitting on your sim, constant flirting males and females, the hearts showing up when you sim meets someone, or even if they don't meet.  My sim was in bed when a repairman came in to fix a broken shower and yet there is a popup that they are meant for each other.  One male sim was at the computer writing a book when the maid comes to clean the house, they don't even meet, but he has the heart show up over his head and the popup that they are meant for each other.

Those more knowledgeable can offer more help, but all I can think of is save your sim to the bin, with the  house if you want to keep it, open up a new game and place your sim there.  She will keep all of her levels, pack her books in your inventory to make sure you don't lose them and that may help with the aliens.  As for the calls, at least it will for a while.

If you aren't sure  how to save a sim to the bin and move to another game, go to edit town, click on house and save it, you will be asked if just household or with house also.  If you want sim just household only, if the house, click on that option (I think I have it listed right), save, leave edit town, save game and go to menu and start a new game, when it comes up to chose create a sim, join a household or move one in, just move one in and put your house down on a lot that you like and can afford.  It has to be the same size or bigger.

The guide that Carl has give great guidelines, probably explains it better, but this is the basic of doing it.  If I have missed anything, someone can step in and fill in that area, I do it so often that it is routine for me, to explain, I may have forgotten a step or out of order.
The guide is a great thing to have for a lot of questions, I still read it at times when I'm not sure about something.

Thank you for taking the time to respond and help.

What I ended up doing was saving her in edit town to cancel the need to "investigate" which seems to be code for "go outside and be abducted".  Then I lowered her logic skill to 0, sold all telescopes, and moved her to a different house.  It's the orange colored lodge house in Hidden Springs (I finally got that dang world to play) that is a street over from the Vanderburg house.  It seems to be a hotbed for alien activity (and gnomes!!  That keep appearing).  The alien visits really escalated after I moved her there.

I also finished her year long dating sabbatical and she's happily married to Sebastian Vanderburg.  The alien visits stopped shortly after I got rid of anything logic related (and made sure to keep her safely inside during alien visit times).  The annoying male non-stop calls also stopped after she was married.

I don't know if it was just a coincidence or if the logic level, telescope, and that particular lot had anything to do with what happened.  I've never seen so much alien activity in any world before, I was rather stunned by it actually.

It's always great to see aliens just running around for no reason whatsoever.  :P

If you want your sim to be abducted but can't wait for it to happen, you can just put the epic "gem" spawner on your lot by using the buydebug cheat. I did that, thinking it would spawn the rainbow gem. Instead my sim got abducted, and the sparkling thing kept appearing every night, right at the spot I put the spawner.

Now it seems that you have the opposite problem, but as I didn't see it be mentioned anywhere I thought it could be nice to know for someone maybe.

Hmm, I've never seen an alien running around the town by free will at daylight. Even if they came for a visit, it usually would be at night.

Because the picture looks like it was taken at University, it might be an alien hybrid. When University has to re-populate the world, they account any visiting aliens in the mix and occasionally generate alien hybrids as new uni students. I can't think of any other way to explain a few of sims having classmates with alien coloring and the last names of original uni students. They act like regular students and therefore go out in the daytime.

Or maybe that one is just lost or likes being an early bird. ;)

It was actually just my Sim at University. He was just taking a really dumb path to his class.  :P

Through some experimentation, I have found that it is possible to create an alien in CAS.  It's somewhat difficult, and definitely time-consuming, but doable.
  • First, you do need to get an alien housemate in-game.  I created a new file with a character specifically designed to stargaze, and then cheated like mad - loaded up my lot with space rock spawners, kept his motives up by having testingcheatsenabled set to true, and just shift-clicked any extraterrestrial visitors to add them to the household.
  • Age you alien(s) up or down to Young Adult.  This is important, because when the game generates a brand-new character in CAS, they are always Young Adults.  Characters who are not Young Adults will never be automatically loaded in CAS.
  • Save your Young Adult alien(s) to the bin.  The more aliens you have in there, the better your odds of getting one when you create a family in CAS.  You don't need multiple aliens in-game to get multiple ones in your bin, you can just save a single one multiple times.
  • Start up a new game and create a family.  The game will load one of the characters from the bin as your starting point.  Keep either adding family members or going back and opening CAS again until it loads an alien.  It does not work to just select one of the aliens you saved to the bin; the game must load an alien itself.  You can tell if an alien is properly loaded by whether or not they have the solid black eyes and echo-y voice.  In my experience, if they don't, the game won't consider them aliens and they will just be weird-looking humans.
  • Now you edit your alien however you want.  You can even load a human character from the bin, and they will have the black eyes and alien voice.  Once you start playing, they will have all the alien powers and benefits.
My guess as to the reason this works is that there is no way for CAS to alter a character's alien status, which is determined the moment they are first loaded.  Just as the game cannot add in the code to make a character an alien, it cannot overwrite it to make a character not an alien.

I figured this out while I was playing with genetics in CAS, and the alien I had saved to the bin just happened to come up.  All her CAS-generated offspring were aliens as well.  I managed to replicate this intentionally, but only after many, many attempts (the fact I only have the one alien in the bin probably doesn't help; I just made my alien-gathering game for fun).  Aliens make great starting characters because they have many money-making opportunities open to them, such as summoning meteors or selling alien secrets to the government, and they don't have to sleep.

That's awesome, tirajm! I wonder if it would work for other life states that don't have their powers transfer through CAS well.
