All documentation for the Weatherstone says that the only ones that will be able to use it are fairies, werewolves, witches and vampires.   That's the only ones that have coding to work with it.   So none of the others are going to be able to use it.

Ah, ok. I don't watch video broadcasts from EA, so that part slipped by me.

I played for about 12 hours yesterday (not all at once...) and had an absolute blast. The weather effects are amazing - I especially love the sound of the rain. It's nearly summer where I live, but it was raining in game, and I was wondering why I was so hot. And then I realised that no, it was not raining in real life, and perhaps I should take a break from the game for a while :P. My game hasn't had any glitches or problems yet, and I'm hoping it stays that way.

I haven't really interacted with aliens yet. My sims have been abducted three times, none resulting in alien pregnancies. I haven't seen aliens around the neighbourhood either, although I haven't been doing things that will attract them (eg using the telescope, collecting space rocks). Spooky day was a little disappointing for my young adult sim, since she had no kids to take trick-or-treating, and no neighbourhood kids came to the door either! Ah well. I've tried three of the four new party types, and they were really cool too. I especially liked the gift-giving party. Really did have a nice Christmas feel to it.

I've been playing in Riverview, and was expecting the festival to be a bit dreary, since it's held in that old abandoned warehouse. But it was actually decorated really nicely, and having my sim run around madly trying to try everything out reminded me of the fetes, fairs and bazaars I went to as a kid :D. Overall, I'd say it's the best EP so far - hands down.

Installed Seasons from disk about 5 hours ago. Commenced a new character in my Victoria Isle world, and have played a bit. So far, extremely pleased -- the seasonal elements add a totally new dimension to the game that I really enjoy. The festival is a really nice touch.

As my favorite career is Gardening, I also purchased the Stones Throw Greenhouse set. Haven't done much with it, but I'm looking very forward to being able to grow more crops than previously. The greenhouse roof pieces also make a very nice way to add architectural features to houses, such as glass-roofed breakfast rooms. I'm as excited about this new venue product as I am seasons, and they compliment one another so nicely.

Mary, you may want to check out the thread about the greenhouse because it lets the weather in! You can find it here - http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/forum/index.php/topic,13278.0.html

I'm really enjoying Seasons so far!  It has been snowing for 5 Sim days and it's beautiful.  We don't get much snow where I live in real life (except for Snowmageddon) so it's nice to see.   :D  My only complaints - Summer Festival is not very interesting, I may need to go in and add some stuff; and that Germy moodlet!  I've had two Sim kids in two different families get Germy so I had them stay home from school and they both got scolded by a parent for skipping school!  I couldn't find any way for the kid or the parent to call them in sick to school.  Adults can call in sick to work on a phone interaction.  Has anyone else had this happen?

I installed Seasons last night and started a new game but didn't get far before bedtime.  I'm hoping my computer will handle it and I won't need to buy another one, but we'll see what happens.

First impression: Even with both the weekend and  rememberance day off and the postal service not working for those fays, why in the fooey fu does it take around 36 hours after the game arrives in BC from Ontario, for it to have it's departure scan so that it can be sent off again?????

Wow, this is so fantastic! I've only played Summer and have been to the Summer fair at the Warehouse in Riverview which is great fun. Not heaps of new clothes and hairstyle but there are some that I just adore (my favourite is the woollen headband type thing in hair with accessories for women).

Only problem that I've had so far is when my Sim aged up into an elder and I went to the chest of drawers to change his outfit. When it comes up with the blue screen with the plumbob in the centre and the spinning blue line, it just stays like that and doesn't appear to be loading. Could be due to the new clothing section (e.g everyday, formal, etc) called Outwear (for Winter, I think)

Can't wait to do some more exploring!

I only experience summer so far, the graphics is fantastic! I had a bit of a hiccup when I create a sim to place in a new town, the game crashed in CAH. I was not very impressed lol, I restart my computer and the second time was fine. I can't wait to get to the other seasons.
I have no problems playing the second time, no lag or freezing. I am a little afraid of CAH now lol. :P

Yes for sure! And long awaited in my case too! I'm really waiting for spring and autumn too, change of the leaves. I do have a lot of lag and glitches, but I think that is because of my old computer.

A question, does anyone know where I can find the umbrella's?

Someone asked that, and I believe the answer is miscelanious entertainment (can't spell today). Although you can just seperate by collections, click on the Seasons section and go searching there.
