Season's sounds wonderful!  Unfortunately I won't be buying it until ALL the bugs are worked out, so many months from now I'm guessing.  I can't even patch because it breaks the game that I've already paid for (analyzing space rocks, etc), which stinks because I can't get the fixes to the games I've already paid for either (fish and traveling bug, etc).  :(

I'm really enjoying this expansion! It rains a bit too much for my liking so every now and then I disable the rain from my Options menu. I love the rain but I get tired of my sims not being able to do things without getting soaked. The snow is lovely but it lags my game after awhile so sometimes I have to disable that, or control the height of it with the cheat. Building snowmen is a lot of fun. I love to have different people build snowmen together so I can see what types of snowmen they come up with. Loving the festivals! I try to take my families to the festivals a few times before the seasons end. I've played through all 4 seasons so far (started out with seasons lasting 3 days each so I could check them all out, but I've bumped them to 9 days).

I wish Trick-or-Treating was a little more fun. In my experience, it's just been the kid I'm playing going door-to-door, no other children around. Guess I'll keep trying different times of day to go out and see if maybe a certain time is more popular with the other residents in town. I tried to take 5 kids out at once but it took them over an hour just to get to the first house (it was cold, so they had to change out of costumes and into their coats and then it took forever for them to all meet up at the first house) and since I didn't have an adult in their group, they went home right after the first house because it was after curfew! Oops. Lesson learned there, hehe. I'll take less kids out per group and I'll get an earlier start next time.

I've been playing the Sargeant family in Twin Brook for most of my Seasons experience. The other day, I had Bobby Sargeant enter a hot dog eating contest while he was about half hungry. I took the focus off him for a couple of seconds and when I went back to him, his hunger bar was completely in the red and he died! I don't know if he choked to death or what. I reloaded the game because I still have plans for him. Anyone else have anything like this happen from an eating contest?

I just got Seasons (and Late Night, because of the Target buy 1 get 1 half off deal). The graphics are gorgeous, and I also think it's going to kill my computer, especially if I keep playing my Bridgeport file.

I have problems with the rain as well, but as my Sim's LTW is Illustrious Author, it's not really a huge problem. But it also means that she hasn't been able to go to the Fall Festival. Well, she can, but no one's really there.

Someone reported that choking during an eating contest makes one's hunger bar drop and can potentially kill a Sim, yeah. That's why I always get worried when I see someone at the contest stand. The first time my gals visited the festival and a contest happened, two participants had the red "I'm starving!" thought bubble over their heads about halfway through and I feared they'd drop dead on the first day of my new game.

Aside from the constant rain, my only real bugbear so far is that my garden went dormant as soon as fall started. I thought it was only meant to do that during winter? Plus, when I got myself two indoor planters to supply ingredients for my alchemist, the plants in them show up as dormant too despite being in a fully roofed and walled room, with a fireplace no less.

Probably it is coded for all plants to go dormant, whether they are inside or out, but I assumed that if they were indoors they would not go dormant.  Kind of defeats the purpose of having indoor planters, lol. :)

So far, besides minor glitches, I really like the game.  I cannot play Bridgeport anymore, but that is ok.  Festivals are alot of fun and I love autumn and all of the colors.

Seriously.  I really hope they patch the greenhouse technology soon.  The entire functionality of the concept of a greenhouse is basically moot right now.

That would just be my guess, but that is the way it looks.

I have had a sim get stuck inside the greeting card booth in winter and would not come out so I had to revert to earlier save.

My indoor planters are progressing (almost) normally all winter long.  They are dormant the first day that they're planted, but as soon as they hit the 5am next growth phase trigger they move on to the normal planted phase.

Not exactly sure where I should post this, but I was at the store (sim store lol) today and I was checking sets and various other items, and I ran into this. It's a bit pricy even on sale, but I think next month I'm going to try to get it for all the obvious reasons lol.  ;D

There's a thread about that somewhere.  I'm still debating it myself.  It lets in the weather, so doesn't work like an actual greenhouse.  I'm hoping they get that fixed first, then I might invest in it. :)

Oopps I didn't realize another thread about it was here.  :-[ Sorry mods. Are you serious though? It sounded like you could garden in there no matter the weather. If not than there is no reason to buy it!!

Yeah, I'm on my phone or I'd link you.  I was really excited too, but then saw a message about it, and then Curtis P also mentioned it on his video today too.  It looks really cool, and there are parts of it I'd really like to have in my game, I"m just hoping they fix it before the sale ends. I remember there was an issue with the Sunlit town too that I think they got fixed, I never had the reported issues in my games anyway. :D

I've hit winter now. I love snow but we rarely get "real" winters anymore where I live, so when it started snowing on the first winter morning and continued all day, I was just ecstatic and had my two Sims outside all day to try out various new interactions and enjoy the scenery. It's awesome. And coming home to a nice cozy house feels twice as good too when it's snowing or raining outside.

Some of my plants are behaving a bit oddly. The indoor ones work now, most of the time, and during fall the garden looked normal on some warmer days. I could tend it and even harvest on those days, but some plants reach the harvest stage and bug out. They can't actually be harvested, and if it's a mushroom it'll vanish entirely (though can still be moused over, disposed of, etc). That happened both indoors and out, but not for all plants.
