Yay! I finally found some free time! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Chapter 7: Big Changes

So if you remember my conversation with my mother-in-law, Patricia she was pretty down about being so far away, well meet my in-laws James and Patricia Ford

So now that it’s Fall spencer and I have decided that we would give his parents an early Snowflake day present, we bought them plane tickets to come home, and visit! I am actually excited about this visit I adore my in-laws and I love having them around and surprisingly my mother does too, my Mom and Patricia have become good friends! James and Patricia refused to let us pick them up at the airport; they insisted that they take a cab, stating that Ethen was to precious to subject to all those nasty germs. Patricia was immediately in love with Ethen, as we all knew she would be.

It’s so wonderful having another set of helping hands around, but if I thought I didn’t get to hold my son before, I really don’t now! Between Ethen’s Grandma J and Grammy, I never get to hold him, he is one loved little boy! I love to see Ethen with his Grandma’s; I just wish that Grandpa James would be a little more involved. I don’t think that it has anything to do with not wanting to be involved, because he sits in Ethen’s room and just watches him sleep or rock in his swing; I just think he’s scared he’s going to break him. It seems like everyone in the house has tried to talk or trick him into hold him and nothing seems to work!
In other news Paul has gotten a job at the book store and is doing surprisingly well. There is no talking to the books in the fiction section or anything like that, actually he really loves this job and says that his boss says that he is up for a promotion soon! I’m so proud of my baby brother! And speaking of baby, Ethen has just woken up from his afternoon nap! Which he took in his baby swing, he just looked so cute I couldn’t stand to move him! I will leave you with an adorable picture of Ethen!

That was so sweet.  Where do you get the striped blankets?  I have twins in my story and I'd love to be able to tell them apart with a blanket.

One more update before 2013!

Chapter 8: The Things He Does For Me.

Today is my 25th birthday, and Spencer has the day off! He decided that he was going to take me to all these different places today to celebrate, I tried to convince him that I was content just spending all day with him and Ethen, but he wouldn’t hear of it! So off we went to celebrate. He woke me up around 6 am and we loaded into the car leaving Ethen in the care of Grandma J and Grammy,

Spencer refused to tell me where we were headed, but about an hour into our trip I had a pretty good guess on where we were headed, another hour later, and my suspicions were confirmed, when Spencer took the Bridgeport exit. Another fifteen minutes or so and Spencer pulled the car in front of a huge elegant looking building.

“What is this place?” I asked

“It’s called Running River Spa, you've been looking a little worse for wear since Ethen was born.” He told me with a huge grin on his face

Lucky for him I was feeling wonderful that day.

“And your new bed is the couch!” I said to him with the same playful grin.

“Let’s go!” he said hoping out of the car and running quickly to the other side to open my door.

My husband is such a gentleman!

The funny thing is that I think Spencer was more excited about today than I am! None the less, we enjoyed our morning being pampered together, though I was constantly wondering if Ethen was ok, Spencer practically had to pry the phone out of my hand!
After our spa trip we headed to the more crowded downtown area. Spencer lead me to a small shop, in the middle of the hustle and bustle, the store was simply called “The Bridge” I had read about this place in a couple of magazine it was the go to clothing store of all who was famous.

“Spencer what are we doing here?” I asked

“You’re an amazing wife and an even more amazing mother, you deserve this.” He told me

“We can’t afford…”

“Enough Victoria, we can I promise you we can.” Spencer only called me Victoria when he was dead serious about something.

A friendly looking sales woman appeared from what seemed like out of nowhere, she had a shiny engraved name tag that read “Renee”. Spencer told her that I needed a new wardrobe, and that he had made an appointment a few months ago. She asked us to wait a moment while she checked the registry, she soon returned and showed us to a small room at the back of the store. She told us that she would be back shortly. I watched as she disappeared as quickly as she had appeared. Renee soon returned with a small rack full of clothes, I will spare you all the details and just show you the pictures that Renee took,

Everyday

Formal

Workout

Swim wear

Winter

After I had picked out my new wardrobe Spencer told me to change back into the blue dress while he went to pay. Before I could question he was out the door. I huffed and changed like he asked. When I exited the room I was greeted by a tall man in an expensive looking suit, I couldn’t believe I was looking at my husband; it had been three and half years since I had seen Spencer in a suit, our wedding day. He held his arm out to me and I took it as we left the store. A long black limo pulled up outside, the driver opened the door with a friendly smile.

“Mr. Ford, Mrs. Ford.” He greeted

I smiled as we slid in

“Spencer you are crazy.” I told him as the driver shut the door behind us

“It’s your birthday.” He said as he smiled

“I’m only 25, why didn’t you save this for like my 40th? I’m going to need it then!” I joked

“I want to show you how much you mean to me.” He told me

“I picked up on that somewhere between the spa and right here.” I told him

He didn’t say anything just smiled.

After a short drive we pulled up to a quaint little restaurant, the small sign outside read “Juliee’s” I had never heard of this place but I was excited. Spencer being the gentlemen that he is held the door for me, and when we were seated he pulled my chair out for me. We spent the evening talking about our beautiful family and the years to come. It was a nice change of pace from what we were used to, the was no crying baby, no work talk, no mom’s to interrupt us, it was truly beautiful. After our wonderful diner I expected to get back on the interstate and head home to Moonlight Falls, but instead we got back in the limo and drove to the far side of town to a part that looked surprisingly beautiful (I am not a fan of the city!) We pulled up in front of a small hotel named “The Riverly”

“Spencer there can’t possibly be more?” I asked

“Just one more thing” he said with a sly grin

Spencer checked in and then lead me up the stairs to a small room with a queen size bed and a bathroom, but I was more interested in the outside, there was a small balcony with a beautiful view of the river with the city lights gleaming in the distance. I walked out on the balcony to get a better view.

“Beautiful, isn’t it?” Spencer asked coming up from behind me a wrapping his arms around my waist

“mmmhhm” I murmered

“Let’s go inside.” He whispered

He got no argument from me.

First post of 2013! I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year, and I hope that 2013 will be good to everyone!

Chapter 9: Here We Go Again

Well it’s been about two months since my 25th Birthday and our trip to Bridgeport, and I’m so excited, because I’m pregnant! I don’t really want to tell my family until the morning sickness fades, which at this point maybe the day the baby is born!

The morning sickness this time around is terrible, it seems like I spend most of my day in the bathroom. I think that my Mom and Patricia are picking up on something, but if they are they haven’t said anything.

In other news yesterday we celebrated Ethen’s first birthday! I can’t help but be a little sad that my baby boy is growing so fast, but I’m also so very excited about the prospect of having and adventurous toddler in the house!

He is so cute! He looks just like me when I was a toddler or at least that’s what mom said we lost all of our family photos in a fire when I was six and Paul was two.

Speaking of Paul, it seems that my insane brother has joined an online dating site! He says that he met someone and he has gone off to meet her in Starlight Shores (which is notorious for gambling, and odd life styles) Mom and I tried to convince him that this online dating thing was a terrible idea but of course he wouldn’t hear a word. We expect him back any day now he’s been gone for about a month now... actually I just heard a car door slam, and there’s another door slamming, you’ve got to be kidding me!

Meet Annalove Gibson; formerly Annalove Ivy of Starlight Shores. I don’t like her one bit! Apparently she and Paul got married the day he arrived in Starlight Shores. WHAT! Hello Paul have you heard of a telephone, maybe you could have picked it up and said something like,

“Hey Ria the weather here is great, Annalove is great, oh and by the way we got married!”

Seriously that would have been better than this! But wait folks that’s not all…

Paul and Annalove are expecting.

Signing off

One very angry soon to be Aunt Ria

Well...maybe Paul and Annalove's relationship isn't that bad?

Oh dear, Ria is going to have a handful.

Nice update! Ethen is adorable!
