Angry postal carriers
« on: November 04, 2012, 08:46:45 PM »
Ever wonder why your bills are on the ground instead of in the mailbox? I've seen two different postal carriers walk up to the mailbox, pause, then throw the bills on the ground. It looks like they're yelling at the bills. They're not getting route failure thought bubbles. What is this?

I think it happens if you miss paying them the first day they're delivered.

Heh, okay. I usually don't pay the bills until I get the notification about only having one day left. Why does the mailman care about when the bills are paid? Random silliness, I guess.

Yeah, I think random silliness is the reason.

Makes the game fun, doesn't it?   ;D

Actually, I pay the bills in my dynasty on time because they all evilly undermine daily and still get the thrown down bills.  I think it's mailman personality.   My mail carrier will throw down the bills and kick over my gnomes then leave.  So I just figure it one of those bad days and they're taking it out on my stuff.

Wow I have wondered why all these time. I thought I somehow angered them off or something. Thanks.

I thought they did that when there is something already in the mailbox?

I wonder if mail carriers have the Grumpy trait.  I've really never paid much attention to their traits.

Marry one. Or at one to your household than you can see.

Leto85, do you mean like there is some sort of hidden trait that causes that particular behaviour? I dont think any of them is grumpy.

Sunset Valley:
Alma Tanti (Female) - Slob, Vegetarian, Hopeless Romantic, Light Sleeper, Athletic
Lane Clementson (Male) - Commitment Issues, Virtuoso, Daredevil, Party Animal, Computer Whiz

Bridgeport:
Addison Rush (Female) - Hydrophobic, Excitable, Artistic
Barrington Webb (Male) - Party Animal, Hopeless Romantic, Athletic

Twinbrook:
Mark Stamp (Male) - Flirty, Couch Potato, Childish, Commitment Issues, Computer Whiz
Carrie Post (Female) - Flirty, Loner, Dislikes Children, Grumpy, Light Sleeper

Carry posts, lol.

@ SimFreeek: That was basically what I meant. But I haven't see it myself. I wasn't talking about a hidden trait though. I was talking about the trait others mentioned.
I have no idea what could trigger this behaviour though.
Oh, and you can call me just Leto, btw. ;)

Hi, Leto it is then, hehe.

My current family haven't have it happen yet since all my bills are found in the mailbox, properly. It's really weird.

I've noticed this since I first got the game nearly two years ago. I think its just put in randomly, and it makes me giggle every time.

How is your sims relationship with the post man service? It might has something to do with it. Neglected friendship or something like that.
Or maybe your sim has insulted a friend of the post man, don't know how deep the social interaction and it's possible cause and effect system in this game goes though. Though I know a thing or two. :P
