Artie's Dynasty #1 got hit twice.  Once in the garden and I lost the entire garden and got stuck with the dirty moodlet outside the house until the end of the file.   Another time was aimed at Artie & Malcolm while they were at the Movie Studio.   And a third one right before the demise of the file at one of the local parks.    Second dynasty didn't live long enough to get a meteor but I've had two since he moved to Lunar Lakes.  One right at second generation Ares and another at a local garden that I forgot to get a picture of.

So yeah - maybe being evil is an unstated bonus to meteor strikes.  Probably not but then meteors have never been shy in my game.   The only thing I can honestly say that I've never experienced was the meteor hitting the school like someone else on the forum.  I can't imagine losing every child and teenager in an entire town because of a meteor.  So yes definitely be careful what you wish for.

I'm wondering if Seasons will increase the chance of meteors. I worry about that, since they say there can BIG hail storms, etc. Hopefully not a hail storm of meteors!

I would think not.  The only increase in meteors will probably be a player controlled alien.

Yes, I was! I continued playing that family for 3 more generations. Then I lost all my saves and sims due to hard drive crash.  :'(

I've never had a meteor shower either, though my sister had one and it killed one of her sims. Since she hates when her sims die by any means, she made me find a mod that prevents meteor showers from happening at all. She was just a little paranoid about it happening again.  ::)

I've only ever had one meteor hit. My sim was inside City Hall at the time so was not injured. All the townies naturally came to stand on the road and stare at the meteor, then when it hit, they all got stuck in the "oh no I'm going to get hit by a meteor" pose. Some got singed, some did not, but all of them in the area got stuck like that. For days. Finally I did a reset of the whole town, and they all promptly died, I guess even though they were stuck, their needs still dropped. I quit the game and deleted the save immediately.

I've had two meteors, but they where not random events, I used a alien to summon a meteor on the lot next door to their house. My alien lives with my Sim Agnes.

I've never had a meteor either. I don't wish for meteors falling from the sky everyday, but once would be nice!   :-\

I’ve had a meteor once, but I don’t remember having Ambitions at the time. Okay…

I sent my Sims to the Central Park in Sunset Valley, but one was left behind and started looking through the telescope. A notification came up (I can’t remember what it said) about a meteor landing. I went to Map View, and there was a tag on the spa with the Collection Helper’s icon for space rocks. There was a huge meteor right in front of it. Nobody was singed, but Geoffory Landgrabb came to do something, I’m not sure what. I had one of my Sims swipe it before someone else did. It was on display in their basement, surrounded by velvet ropes. I never inspected it, but it was worth around §2,800.

“You ought to upgrade to Windows 7!”, they said. “It’ll help your games run so much better!”, they said. If I see them again, then they had better know how to stabilize an on-the-fritz copy of The Sims 3 that was working just fine on Windows XP.

I was randomly testing if I could make a red sim turn blue in twinbrook when I had a meteor try to kill him while he was frozen in place.    For those that have never had a meteor, how often do you play in twinbrook?  I wonder if the chance is higher there because it's the expansion that came with them.

That's always been an ingame feature, just like Gigantic space rocks. I actually had a Gigantic Space Rock spawn in the most unlikely place once. Hedge your bets - behind my house, on the side of the road, Simhenge, in front of city hall, or across the road from my house.

That's right, it was lying on the Side of the Road.

I doubt it. But that'd probably be in Script Cores, so I'm unable to check for two reasons:
A) I don't know any C-like language (C, C#, or C++)
B) I lack an IDE (Integrated Development Environment) and a decompiler.

I've had many games in uglyville, but my only meteor has been in Starlight Shores. I really doubt that they would make Twinbrook a meteor magnet.
