Finding a Tombstone
« on: October 29, 2012, 07:03:57 PM »
So here's the story in short: In Moonlight Falls, the Poks were throwing a party. My sim is best friends with them, so she goes.

Vampire Dayvid Musgrave is also there. He dies of thirst at the end of the party.

Since Dayvid is my top choice for a vampire spouse in my life states dynasty, I really want to find his grave so I can resurrect him when the time comes. However, I can't find his tombstone anywhere. It's not at the Poks' house, and when I manage the dead at the mausoleum, his tombstone isn't there. Is there any way to locate Dayvid's grave? I'm going to have to find a back-up plan otherwise.

It should be at the mausoleum.  Maybe try checking there again after a game restart.

Just tried that. His tomb wasn't in the mausoleum.

I've had this issue, too. Sims I know are dead, and Sims that should be, are not in the mausoleum for some reason.

I've got the same problem. I want to get some tombstones to resurrect some ghosts with ambrosia, but they're not there.

In my legacy, Flora Goodfellow croaked at the park, and later when I was managing the dead, she wasn't there, same with the Van Goulds...

I've heard that the tombstones disappear when they die on a community lot, but since this was at a residential lot, it's a little stranger.

I know tombstones will stay on your own lot if random sims die there, but I never get any new ones at the mausoleum either.   I'll have to try to make my house the hip spot for townies to die I guess.  :-\

That is strange indeed. I remember last time someone died at a party my sim attended the grave marker was still there next time I visited the lot.

And you're not using any mods right? Because I think the only time I was experiencing something similar I was in a file that used overwatch.

I would recommend getting a Philosopher's Stone, you can bring anyone's ghost to live with you, no matter where it is. I couldn't find Agnes' parents graves, but the Stone had them as selectable ghosts to bind to it.

For the truly wronged, satisfaction can be found in one of two places,  absolute forgiveness or mortal vindication. This is not a story about forgiveness. When deception cuts this deep, someone has to pay.

Thanks for the idea. I ended up adapting my plan in absence of him, but the stone might come in handy for another day.
