I'm looking forward to this patch - EP patches have, in my experience, added in most coding for the EP - I was able to see that faeries' lives were 5 times longer in SN when the patch came out.

About weddings: I'm going to either hold off on the patch, or backup my Dynasty and patch, then not play the Dynasty until I can test it myself.

This is also the first patch I've had while I was using CC. Do I have to reinstall my CC (meshes, not mods), and if so, do I have to resetsim * beforehand?

The weddings are broken for me, too. My sim had a private wedding with someone, but nothing popped up regarding changing households, and the other sim didn't move in with mine. Their relationship status was changed to husband/wife, though. I was able to successfully ask another sim to move in, however, and it worked just fine.

I'm pretty excited about ocean swimming for Sunlit Tides....maybe my Sims can swim out to some of the islands now!  I was really surprised to get this now, because I expected not to see it til Seasons was out.  (I don't know why I find ocean swimming so exciting, as I don't imagine I'll really do it that much after the initial novelty wears off, but right now, yay for ocean swimming!)

I'm excited to try blueprint mode too!

They better fix this, or I'll have a town full of married people I don't know about! Guess my sims will do as many in France, and not get married!

I don't know.

I just ran into a serious glitch.   I was testing the attractive system which I can't figure out.   Artie met someone, married them and they never moved in.   Artie's wife kept her name, her house, her roommates.  I was still only playing Artie.

Wondering if it was a bug I tried it again in an unaltered Lucky Palms with Donovan Steel and Marisol Loera.  Same thing.  Both were private weddings at some place random.

The attraction system seems to take all sorts of things into account looking at the data. I found these in Relationship_0x5da0f93630ce52d4

Base random attraction value 0 - 100 (seems to be a random number applied for an initial score)

Bonus or penalty of 30 for matching or opposing traits

Bonus of 1 per career level

Bonus of 0.5 per skill level

Bonus of 30 for matching occult

Bonus of 2 per celebrity level

Bonus of 30 for compatible sign

There's also a bonus if one of these buffs is present, FreshClothing, MintyBreath, NiceNails, SmoothSkin, SqueakyClean, VeryFreshClothing, EyeCandy, Stylin, StylinPermanent, Suntanned

And of course family funds make you more attractive too, so basically it seems to be if you have a good job lots of money and clean laundry you're sorted.

The attraction threshold is 101, so hit that score or above and the two sims will be attracted.

Last night I started a test game of this patch, put my self sim in as a teen first, not seen it work on teens as yet so maybe it's just for adults.

Subject 1: Dallas Shallow
She talked to Dallas her usual husband, they flirted like they always do but no attraction thing, they just have music and sometimes zodiac in common, in this game they were compatible. It may not have fired any attraction thing but it didn't stop them being all over each other as usual.

Subject 2: Trigger Broke
With Trigger she has clumsy, music and cookies in common, this time no zodiac. Nothing happened there either even though on paper he seems more suited.

So with that not doing anything I started again and put my YA self sim in and sent her to see somebody I knew should work.

Subject 3: Sherman Bagley
On paper she is a perfect match for Sherman but they have never been anything but best friends. They are both neat and friendly, both like cookies and blue and in this test had matching zodiac.

She said hello and they both got a thought bubble of each other with flying hearts floating off, then a pop up of Sherman saying "we have a lot in common I'd like to get to know you better"

She also got a +10 moodlet when near him.

I found nothing in the xml about favourites so I'm guessing it just took the traits and zodiac into account, plus the fact he is rich. One thing that didn't happen which pleased me was they didn't then start flirting, can you imagine the chaos if this caused instant autonomous flirting between two attracted sims.

There is another xml that deals with the gift giving and love letters, it seems if a sim is attracted to you there is a chance they will call and ask you on a date but thankfully if you turn them down 3 times they will stop else that could also get a bit annoying.

I just tried it again.   I had two people living together use an arch and they both reset. I was able to get them to exchange rings again but I'm thinking this is a serious game breaking bug.

As for the two living apart, never got the window.  Nothing popped up.  One second exchanging rings, then the kiss, then nothing like it had never happened.  The only proof was the relationship had changed to husband/wife and Artie had the moodlets.  Just no changing of address of anything.

I'm afraid to patch until this is fixed  :-\

Broken weddings? No! My second gen is supposed to get married this very day!

Whaaaaaaa??  :o

Broken weddings are horrible news. I've only had that happen one time before this patch, and it caused me no end of frustration. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Glad I read this thread. I will hold off on this patch until the weddings is fixed (and hopefully NRAAS is updated).

Whaaaaaaa??  :o

Are you Whaaaaaa??ing in shock to find that I play so far ahead of my story? It's true. I am about a generation ahead. Trying to catch up, but playing is always so attractive. I started the game before I started the story, and I've been behind ever since.

So far my sim has met three men she was attracted too and has had two gifts in the mail, the vase of flowers on the table and the potted plant in the right hand corner, but they don't tell you who sent them, that is so annoying. I tried view as with flowers that says "Flowers from insert name, such a lovely gift" but nothing like that either. Would have been nice to know who they came from.

The house is the studio blueprint found in the misc section btw.

My dynasty heir is a toddler so weddings are a way off yet but even so that is bad, I wonder if edit town will be allowed so you can merge them into the new house, you lose wishes like that though don't you?

Great, so much for starting a new dynasty, broken weddings = broken dynasties, what a pain, why do they have to break something with every patch they do? *Sigh*  >:( They had fixed so much stuff too.

Does anybody know if gardening has been fixed yet? I've been holding off on starting a new dynasty until I hear otherwise.

I threw a party last night and all the guests brought pot-luck! The dining room table was full of food, even though I had the banquet table out back.

Also seemed like everyone was attracted to everyone else. Tons of "I'd like to get to know you better. Next morning my newly aged elder Sim got a bunch of phone calls to go out on dates. He's married and eternally faithful (or some such). That annoyed me a bit.

Just wondering, does the wedding bug still happen if you ask the potential sim to move in first then have the wedding?

Also if anone knows whether gardening is working properly again then that'd be great too.
