A lot of this stuff is what modders have done before (except the ocean swimming). So, now I'll have to remove my mods to see what modders have improved.  I won't update until my modders have had a chance to see what the behind the scenes issues are.

After going into CAS:

- Sims can be totally bald now, no EP needed. Time to make that Devin Townsend sim I've always wanted. :D
- Same with filtering. I'm appalled that it took them this long to introduce it, but better late than never?
- The new sliders are pretty cool. They've really been spoiling us with fantasy-themed ear sliders (which I love so much more than I thought I would). The eye sliders are certainly interesting, especially the Alien Eyes Modifier. Oh, but they are so vaguely named. Alien Eyes Modifier could be better called Eye Socket Scale. I kind of needed something like that, though, so I'll live with their rather dumb naming conventions.

Just my luck. I totally skipped patch 3.9 because I didn't want to have to go through the chore of downloading and installing updates for all my mods. So today I finally bite the bullet and download and install all my mods to patch 3.9 compatible mods and then proceed to patch my game only to find out it's 4.2 and now I'm with out mods until their developers update them. Man that blows.

On the upside I am happy about the diving board. The game has been missing that for, well, ever obviously.

Not to thrilled with the blueprint mode though. It seems an incomplete feature to me. It'll be fun for a few novice builders for a while but without the ability to save our own rooms built from scratch to a "Blueprint Library" to add variety and export and share rooms we've made with other builders this feature will get stale fast.
My Builds
The EPs I have are:
Ambitions
World Adventurer
Late Night
Showtime
Seasons

About time they fixed the fish thing!!

Does anyone know if they fixed the multi-purpose rabbit hole glitch? I don't see it in the fix list :(

I've noticed that we now have the option to "disable memories".  But when I checked that option, the memory notifications started appearing on the screen every few seconds again, so I went back to turning off the memory notifications.  At least that way I don't have to read about them.  So I'm not sure what "disable memories" is supposed to do.

And the game that I just went into didn't load paused, even though I always save my game from the paused position.  I'm hoping that's just because the game was saved before the patch, because having my games load in the paused state is something I've wished for ever since the beginning of Sims 3.

My games used to always remain paused upon launch up until the Showtime patch broke them so I'm glad to hear that someone is having good luck with this.  I downloaded the patch earlier on my sister's computer to play around with it and now I can't get it to work on mine.

Apparently there have been a couple of things people are noticing that weren't on the list so maybe there is hope, Chuckles.

Where are you looking? I don't seem to have found anything other than a diving board and the attraction thing (NO idea how it works)?

Try enabling memories, then disabling them again. I had the same problem with memories still appearing, but doing this seems to have fixed it.

On another note, has the patch added in some small weather effects, or were they always there? I started a new game in Bridgeport, and the cut scene where the camera sort of flies over the town looked as though it was taken at night, and even when I started playing, the lighting was quite dim and the sky looked very cloudy, with fog over the town. I know we've had this sort of gloomy weather in certain towns before, but it seemed far more pronounced than usual.

Bridgeport and I believe Twinbrook have always appeared gloomy/foggy to me.

I will try that, thanks for the suggestion.

Another thing I've noticed since this patch is that in the 2-Sim household I'm playing, one of the scrapbooks can no longer be viewed.  By which I mean, when I click on it nothing happens.  I know it was ok before the patch, because I go in every so often and delete memories.  The other Sim's scrapbook is working normally.
