Baby Mod question
« on: October 24, 2012, 07:40:46 PM »
Is there a mod out there that changes the chances of having a boy or girl? Or makes the baby a certain gender? It seems to me that even if I stuff the pregnant lady with watermelons, there's always a boy [even if its just one baby]. Not that there's anything wrong with having boys, but I'd like to see more girls in the mix.

Twallens master controller has this option. Not sure if its in the controller itself or if you have to add his cheats option to it.

When you go into MC, Click on Basic, right underneath Advanced Tab and you should Baby. Make sure you click on the Preg, Sim.

Also - if you use mods, make sure that you don't have it set to be an even population.  That could mean even though you're stuffing her with watermelons, the mod is making sure the population is even and it will decide that you have to have a boy to keep it even.

I don't know every mod that you have but I do know that Twallan is the best at making sure you can find every interaction available through his website.    You could probably do a search to find it there.

From the moment of the start of pregnancy, you can see with Twallan's mod MC, what the sex is. It's Under MC>status>relationship. It will also tell you the percentage chance for twins and triplets.

How many watermelons are you stuffing her with and when?

Nraas StoryProgression does not allow you to use Watermelons/Apples to set a baby's gender. If you wish to do that, you're going to Need MC + MC Cheats. Have your sim eat 5 watermelons then set the gender with MC.

For more information and StoryProgression and Pregnancy, see: NRaas StoryProgression FAQ: Pregnancy

I've found it will do if you set gender to either under the pregnancy options, if it's on balanced then it wont. But I usually have it on either and then the watermelon/apple trick works for me.

Great ;D As long as it works for you! I've had some mixed results (it may have been that I forgot to switch to "Either" so who knows) so I just set the gender with MC to be sure.

Use the sauna, you can chose to try for a boy or girl. If you want more than one; have a "romantic massage" first, then woohoo in the sauna to your preference. Got triplets that way (same sex).

Okay, I just about give up.
I installed MasterController cheats [And the related Story Progression MC] module and I'm not seeing any baby gender selection option [she had just discovered she is pregnant and I did stuff her with 5 watermelons]. I'm just about to delete the StoryProgression mod to save myself the enormous headache this is causing.
Help?
