Can Sims Create New Recipes?

I just tried it again after the new patch and everything. Things are still in both fridges at once.

I tried buying two fridges to avoid using things I didn't want in food but it didn't work. When I put something in one fridge it also appears in the other one like they're just a portal to the big Master Fridge in the Twilight Zone.

I tried it to with 2 fridges but the food also appears in both of them.

Then your only alternative is to put food you don't want in Treasure Chests.

Multiple refrigerators are indeed portals to each other.  I have one on the ground floor in the kitchen and another one on the third floor in the party room just for convenience.  They both contain the same items.
