I just meant that soon the only evil ones left will be the ones in your game.  I wasn't really planning to send them all to you, but you can likely find Marigold and her family in Twinbrook, if you want her.  ;)

Marigold is long dead. William left Twinbrook long after she died of age  ;D

Then I guess William's title as King of Evil will be secure.  :D

Sentencing, Part II

Diary Entry

The woman in the spotted coat woke up.  I still didn't know who she was or why she was part of this elite group of evildoers.

Holly told me about her.  "Her name is Cruella de Vil.  She's a notorious animal abuser from Dimension H.  Her claim to fame is her unspeakable cruelty to animals, especially innocent and trusting puppies."  Holly, a true dog lover, was angrier than I had ever seen her.  "That robe she wears," Holly spat, "may well have been made from the skins of puppies, cruelly slaughtered to feed that woman's vanity."

There were tears in Holly's eyes as she thought of the suffering of the poor innocent creatures whose lives had been sacrificed because of this evil woman.  I was furious.  Surely cruelty to animals who are unable to defend themselves must be the most debased kind of behaviour.

Cruella addressed Holly, "You goody-goody with your prissy little ideas!  What do you know of fashion?  What do you know of the real world?"  She added smugly, "My puppydog robes and accessories have been seen on the most fashionable runways in both the Sim world and Dimension H.  People pay big bucks for them.  Soon Sundown Town will have its own puppy mills, producing large numbers of spotted items to meet the enormous demand."

The woman was utterly despicable.  Like Marigold, Cruella showed absolutely no remorse for her repellent activities.  She had been unconscious when Marigold was sentenced, and Cruella's bragging about the upcoming puppy mills showed that she hadn't yet realized the jig was up for her and her evil gang.

Cruella said arrogantly, "Most of the gold in the basement is mine.  Profits from sales."

I think at that point we would all have been in favour of skinning her and letting her see how she enjoyed the suffering she had inflicted on the poor puppies.  But if we were to descend to her level, we would be no better than she was.  Still, she did pose a problem for us.  Unlike Marigold, who could be banished back to Twinbrook, Cruella came from Dimension H, and we had no way to banish her back there.  Nor would we want her to be anyplace where she could continue her repellent acts of cruelty.  Cruella smirked, clearly enjoying our dilemma.

Holly, Goodwin, Mary and I conferred in whispers about what would be a fitting punishment for Cruella.

Finally I turned to Cruella and said, "Cruella de Vil, you are not only Evil through and through, you are also guilty of the most heinous acts of animal cruelty.  You are responsible for the deaths of many innocent puppies who had never done you the slightest harm.  Your crimes are despicable and cannot be allowed to continue.  You have no remorse and if allowed to live, we are certain you will resume your disgusting activities.

"For that reason, we are banishing you to the SimBin, where you will languish in perpetuity, with no chance of ever regaining your freedom.  You will have a very long time to reflect on your sins."

And Cruella was gone.  We all breathed a sigh of relief as her malignant presence disappeared.  But we weren't done yet.  Two more evildoers to go.

Diary Entry Ends

Congratulations to Marian, Audren, and anyone else who guessed Cruella's identity.  You guys are good!

Thanks! But I didn't mean to let the cat (or Dalmatian) out of the bag. I'll keep my guesses to  myself (like the one I have about Nameless.)

Brilliant! The Sim Bin! I thought maybe you would force her to become an Animal Lover so she would suffer for her sins. But I like this. Kudos for guessing Cruella, I never would have guessed.

Ooooh yes that would have been awesome if she had to become an animal lover before being banished, so she'd have to live in anguish in the SimBin with her remorse and guilt.

Sorry to restate what's already been said, but the simbin idea is genius.  This is one of the reasons I rank you up with so many Dimension H famous writers!

Simler Doesn't Want His Mummy

Diary Entry

Next up:  Simler.  I looked over to see him and Goodwin going at it again.  Meanwhile, Holly and Mary were giggling at something Mary had just whispered to Holly.  I wondered what those two were up to.

But now wasn't the time to ask.  I moved toward Simler, but Mary stepped between us.  "Let me," she said.  It seemed fitting that Simler's sentence should be pronounced by a member of the "lower races" that he had persecuted, so I stood aside.

Mary and Simler faced each other across the room.

"I knew you were no doctor," he blustered angrily.  "You should be arrested for impersonating a medical professional.  When my followers gain power, you and your kind will be -"

Mary didn't wait for him to finish.  Speaking in firm, clear tones, she declared, "You and your followers are through.  Your particular brand of bigotry and hatred isn't what most Sims want.  Most Sims are decent and willing to accept all kinds of people.  There is no master race, and there are no inferior beings."  She demanded, "How much of that gold in the basement was confiscated from members of what you consider 'inferior races'?  How much did you steal from the people you persecuted?"

Simler said defiantly, "I will not be spoken to in this manner by an inferior creature like you.  I demand to speak to an equal."  He averted his head away from Mary, in a clear attempt to dismiss her.

But she continued, "Adolph Simler, this peoples' tribunal finds you guilty of grand larceny.  You are also guilty of multiple hate crimes, including the promotion of genocide.  Your crimes are most heinous.  But we are not without compassion.  We understand that much of your criminal behaviour stems from a failure of empathy.  You hate and fear fairies and other races because you do not understand them.  This tribunal is generously granting you the opportunity to rectify that failure of empathy.  Adolph Simler, here is the first part of your sentence!"

And with that, Mary pulled out a small gold-coloured vial and threw it at Simler.

Finally, Simler's icy self-control shattered, and he cried out in terror.  "NOOO!"

Too late.  The master race had been transformed into a shambling mummy.

The militaristic uniform he had worn with such pride was gone, replaced by dingy bandages and a loincloth.  I wondered if his followers would be quite as eager to follow their fearless leader if they could see him now.

Mary said, "Now you can know what it is like to be a member of one of the races you persecuted.  You are the most visible of the visible minorities.  Fortunately for you, your followers are not in power.  Because if they were, you would be at the top of their target list.  Ordinary Sims are not as unkind as your followers, of course.  Even so, you will meet people who shy away from you because of your appearance."

Mary concluded, "But in any case, your opportunities for social interaction in future will be limited to those poor souls languishing in the SimBin.  You'd better hope the SimBin residents are more tolerant and accepting than your followers.  The SimBin is a far more humane place than the concentration camps you intended to build for me and the other persecuted groups.  But a prison is still a prison, and there you will remain forever."

Then Simler was gone.  Now only one of the Evil overlords remained.  Vita, the mastermind.  Who was also Holly's mother.

You're starting to make me feel bad for all the hundreds of Sims in my Sim Bin! If Holly can handle Vita as well as Mary managed Simler she'll be fine.  :)

I've been following this story for a while now, but haven't really had an opportunity to comment.

I really admire the way you manage to take perfectly timed screenshots and then tell a story that's engrossing and entertaining with characters who are far from perfect but so human. You're an epic storyteller, and I've found myself laughing out loud on more than one occasion as well as shrieking in frustration at your cliffhangers and waiting impatiently for the next update.

I have no idea who Nameless is, but that being said, I don't think any of his traits should change in a SWAP. It's flaws that make us human, and it's his flaws that make him relatable as a character. His battle to win in spite of his inherent nature, only makes his success that much more meaningful, and certainly makes him someone worth knowing. If Mary or Holly can't see that, then neither of them should end up with him, and he should be content to have accepted himself, flaws and all, knowing that his strength of will; his goodness, will enable him to live a better life in spite of his less desirable traits.

An amazing story, Schipperke; with equally fantastic characters. I just hope Holly has the strength to stand up to her mother.
