I'm not sure how to put this, but I wonder if Nameless ought to be swapped at all. He's made so much progress just as he is.  He's done amazing things.  Maybe a few small nudges, but not a complete makeover! We've all come to admire him as he is, so making him a different sim seems odd.  Gilding the lily?  (Pun entirely intended. :))

I also think not too much change. Maybe brave is a good choice, it take guts to go down to that basement!

Sentencing, Part I

Diary Entry

The proper way to deal with our prisoners would have been to turn them over to the police and let the justice system take care of them.  But there was one major problem with that course of action:  Sundown Town had no real justice system.  The police department was infiltrated by Vita's spies, and City Hall was corrupt.  If we turned the prisoners over to the police, no doubt they'd be out on the street in no time, probably with warrants for our arrest.  Much as I abhorred vigilante justice, we had no choice but to take matters into our own hands and try to do what was best for the town as a whole.

We arrived upstairs to find our prisoners just waking up.  Marigold Racket was the first to awaken so I started with her.  I informed her that her evil activities in Sundown Town were over.

"Vita made me do it," she cried.  "I'm just a poor weak old woman!  I couldn't stand up to her!"

Then Marigold turned to Mary and said ingratiatingly, "I have nothing against fairies.  Nothing at all.  That was all Simler's idea.  He's the one who insisted that Sims had to purify the blood lines by eliminating all lower life forms - I mean, the Supernatural ones."

Marigold's attempt to deflect blame on her co-conspirators made it clear there was no honour among evildoers.  She would happily sell out her partners to save her own skin.  But none of us was convinced by her claims of innocence.

"Marigold Racket," I addressed her.  "You are evil through and through.  You brought your family here from Twinbrook hoping to expand your Evil empire.  How much of the gold in the basement is yours?"

Marigold protested that she had earned her share of the gold, it belonged to her, and we had no right to take it away from her.

Clearly we weren't going to see any genuine regret or remorse from Marigold.  She wasn't the least bit sorry for what she had done, only sorry she had been caught.

I continued, "Marigold Racket, you are guilty of enriching yourself at the expense of others.  You are guilty of all manner of Evil acts, including deliberate and malicious persecution of Good Sims.  As punishment, you and your family of miscreants are banished from this town forever.  You may return to Twinbrook, if they'll have you."

Mariold spat at me and then disappeared as her banishment took effect.

Then we turned our attention to the second of the Evil leaders, the woman in the spotted coat who was lying on the floor.

Ah, who is this woman? With regard to Nameless's traits, you could give him the ones he has already demonstrated that he possesses -- like Brave and Bookworm.

I think his traits should become computer whiz because he's been on the pc so often with his writing, handy because of all his work on the showers and brave because he's taking on evil!

I'm agreeing with Marian on the bookworm as opposed to my suggestion of computer whiz!

I like the sound of that! Think of it as character development.  :)

Schip, you've got me waiting impatiently for the next chapter. I'm so glad the forces of Good won out in the end!

I'm glad Marigold is gone, I also wonder about the woman. I can't wait for Vita's and Simler's turn.

Lock them all in the basment, Nameless! ;D With some of the gold, then they have wealth but nothing to use it for! They could have money but no freedom!

Well, I rather dislike that the Evil sims are being ousted so soon.

And what is this supposed to mean? Don't tell me they're being exiled to my dimension. I'd have fun with that  ;D

I just meant that soon the only evil ones left will be the ones in your game.  I wasn't really planning to send them all to you, but you can likely find Marigold and her family in Twinbrook, if you want her.  ;)
