She'd have to create an object that can cool its contents down to absolute zero (-460°F)... It would be most catastrophic for the atmosphere and humanity! Please don't put dangerous ideas like that in her explosive fairy head? Help she may, but I'm not sure she has her science studied up...

I was so excited by this extremely interesting saga of Good vs. Evil - Fairy vs. Zombie/Vampire - Melting vs. Non-Melting Ice that I had to create a profile just to reply.  I have been so entertained with your story that I have been neglecting my duties as Audren's (and A's) Executive Assistant. I can't thank him enough for opening up a whole new world for me...One that includes an amazing story and some awesomly imaginative comments from readers. Love It!  :)

Also, as a first-time poster, I hope I've done everything correctly and haven't said anything I shouldn't have.

Welcome to the forum, Blayzen!  It's an honour and a privilege to finally meet A's Executive Assistant.  The talented masterminds responsible for the Mole adventures are always welcome here!

I'm so glad you're enjoying this story.  I'm having a great time writing it, and as you said, the comments from readers are truly awesome.  Including yours.  I hope you'll enjoy the forum.  :)

A New Threat

Diary Entry

Holly and I were trying to keep in touch as much as possible.  Of course, she had to be careful to avoid giving Vicious Vita any hint of what we were up to.  But being a teenager gave her a certain advantage.  It made it easier for her to slip around town without attracting attention.  Just a teenager, carrying her homework - nothing suspicious in that.  People were less guarded around her and she was sometimes able to overhear useful information.

One day Holly arrived with news of a new threat to Sundown Town.

Speaking in hushed tones to avoid being overheard, she told me that Sundown Town had a new town council member.  His name was Adolph Simler, newly arrived from Moonlight Falls.

What distinguished Simler from the rest of the Evil ones was that in addition to being Evil, mean-spirited, humourless, and thoroughly nasty, he was also an inveterate racist.  Simler was firmly committed to his doctrine of racial purity:  "Sims are the master race!  We must cleanse our race of inferior life forms!"  In Moonlight Falls he became notorious for his harassment of all non-Sim residents.  He fought with fairies:

He threatened Doreen Caliente with banishment, then started musing about how he would like to see witch-burnings reinstated.

Even little children were not spared Simler's rantings.  One day he spotted one of the Wolff children selling pastries in the park and nastily informed her that soon werewolves would be no more.

Ghosts were firmly informed they had overstayed their welcome and it was time for them to move on.

Even the denizens of the night were no match for Simler.  "Vampires must be vanquished!" he would exclaim, as he set about making their lives as miserable as possible.

Holly concluded, "And now he's come here to spread his doctrine of racial purity.  He's politically connected, he's a fanatic, and he's single-minded.  He wants the Sim world to return to an earlier time when there were no other life forms in our towns.  He's going to try to pass laws limiting the freedom of non-Sim residents.  What will happen to them?"

Indeed.  What did the fanatic Simler have in mind for poor Hank Goddard, Jamie Jolina, Iqbal Alvi, and the others?  And then, of course, there was Mary Fairy.

Oh, no. A twist, a fork in the road. Mary has to stay safe, she can't leave Nameless!
I can't wait for the next update!

Wow you did an amazing job creating the Adolph Simler character.  He's fantastically evil, and you captured his hateful interactions with the poor supernatural residents wonderfully.  Well done Schip!

I miss a few updates, and then I see that a shockingly-accurate Adolph Simler moved into town. Oh dear. D:

This means that I should keep reading.
