She's both. All we need to do is dye her hair! ;)

My Campaign

Diary Entry

This was a fine state of affairs.  Just as I was starting to get back on my feet, Mr Payne had seen fit to lumber me with a fairy.  A female fairy.  I had lived with a woman before, and I knew just what was coming.  First, they butter you up, make you believe they're on your side.  Then they start trying to get you to change.  No, the sooner I nipped this in the bud the better.  I resolved to make things so unpleasant for Mary Fairy that she'd soon be begging old Payneful to get her out of there.

Part one of my crafty plan.  I would offer to cook her breakfast.  "Poor Mary, you must be exhausted after your long trip.  Why don't you go relax while I fix a little something for you to eat?  I think you'll enjoy my mushroom omelet."  Oh, I was a clever devil.

I was certain Mary Fairy was the sort of fastidious female who objected to a little honest dirt.  Wait till she saw the kitchen when I got finished with it.

I waited for the complaints about the mess.  But they didn't come.  She thanked me for the meal, then stood  and cleaned up, saying, "You won't have to do the cooking any more.  You're on an important mission, and you don't have time for cooking and cleaning.  That will be my job."

Well, how was I supposed to know she was a neat freak who actually liked cleaning up?  I could see I would have to step up my efforts.  Still pretending to be helpful, I said, "Mary, you're new here.  Wouldn't you like to know a little more about this house and the town?"

She agreed.  I suggested she'd be more comfortable sitting on the floor, then I blew out all the candles and commenced.  Maybe the Fairy didn't mind cleaning up, but wait till she heard about Sundown Town.  Scary, Mary!

I began:  "There are strange, inhuman beings that stalk Sundown Town seeking unwary Sims to enslave.  One day poor Hank Goddard was a handsome Sim, sought after by ladies who saw his commitment-phobia as a challenge.  The next day he was transformed into a loathsome, shambling creature."

I had her attention.  Good.  I continued, "This could happen to you at any time, Mary.  Do you relish having your youthful beauty transformed into something like that?  That isn't the only threat in Sundown Town.  There are more Evil Sims here per capita than anyplace else in the known Simverse.

"The Evil ones and their spies are everywhere.  Their control over this town is complete.  They hate light, they hate goodness, and they will stop at nothing to get their evil way.  As a Good Sim, you will be constantly under threat.

"And then there is this house.  The last owner was an insane, evil old vampire who conducted strange, horrible experiments in the basement.  Yes, the same basement you are proposing to sleep in.  The old vampire's spirit lives on in the mirrors.  Next time you want to gussy up, you're apt to find something grotesque staring back at you."

I finished up with my best shot, intoning ominously, "Death itself stalks Sundown Town.  The only escape is to leave.  Leave now, before it's too late."

I expected her to be gibbering in terror and running for the door.  Instead she rose and calmly said, "Thank you for that informative overview.  I understand now why this mission is so important and cannot be allowed to fail.  Rest assured, I will do everything possible to assist you.  It may take time, but the forces of Evil will be defeated."  She added cryptically, "So Grim and I may meet again?  Well, let it happen.  He may find the balance of power has changed."

And that was that.  I could think of nothing else to do to get her to leave.  It seemed I was stuck with Mary Fairy, at least for the time being.  But I didn't have to like it.

For some reason, I love the name of the chapter. Sadly, Nameless story didn't work. It would have scared me!

I look forward to seeing more of this fairy! I like how determined she is, despite Nameless' very blatant attempts to get rid of her.

Good show nameless, but it appears Mary is made of sterner stuff. And how can I resist being intrigued by what has transpired between grim and Mary in the past? I sense an interesting revelation coming our way...

I hope nameless won't be to preoccupied by routing Mary, that he'll fail his mission. I still want to meet the other good sim.

Mary has met Grim before? Interesting...

I rather like Mary and can't wait to read more. I really think there is something suspicious about us never seeing Nameless' face.
