Is Showtime worth buying?

Hi all! I am still fairly new to the forum but I would really appreciate advice over whether to get showtime. I have been thinking about it for a while but my local retailer selling the game never has it in stock. Is it worth buying online?

It depends on what you play The Sims for. If you play for new careers, I think you'd like it. But if your more of a storyteller, I don't think so.

Hi Corey! Thanks for the speedy reply! I do enjoy new careers but do they get repetitive like the stylist career from ambitions?

Your welcome!  They get a little repetitive, but not even close to repetitive as the stylist career. What I thought was cool is that you can customize their career outfits.

I quite like the Showtime Expansion. The new careers, furniture and clothes and the new town Starlight Shores. I love hearing the seagulls it reminds me of home. It does have a lot of great contents which I enjoy.

Genies are very cool as well. They can grant all kinds of wishes and if you move them in they have special powers.
