For whatever reason, I apparently had some sort of weird glitched copy of Lucky Palms. When I had Lilith out taking photographs of the town for her photography skill challenges, the gym suddenly quit registering as a gym. I figured a restart of the game would help, along with the usual cache clearing.

The Lucky Palms bistro (the name escapes me at the moment) was suddenly replaced by the standard base bistro, the gym quit registering as a gym altogether, the walls/railings at the wharf suddenly vanished, and all sorts of other havoc.

I thought I had done something wrong when placing new content as allowed by the rules, so I just quit playing the file. Just before I started playing again, I was doing something else in Lucky Palms - a virgin, unedited version, no new/premium buildings (not even the casino), and it suddenly wreaked havoc as well. After discussing with Rica (and through her, Metro), I was given the ok to move the family - since I knew Sunset Valley wouldn't give me trouble, I just plopped them there.

Lilith is actually a hilarious character to me, she's an evil technophobe, and I enjoy torturing her by making her watch Kids TV (with all those happy smiling kids!). I'm kind of sad I haven't fleshed her out more, but to be honest, I'm pressed for time right now, and when Hél was born, I wanted to get the story updated before finishing. I can always go back after the fact.

And yes, Hank really did drown due to the harvester. He couldn't get out of the pool, either by ladder or just climbing up the side, because the harvester was in his way.

And yes, Lilith really did snap a picture of that (Hank in the pool, with the harvester and invalid path thought bubbles above his head). She is proudly displaying it on the wall in the dining area.

(I think her thought process is, "see what happens when you don't offer up yummy nutrients to me?")

I finally caught up. It's been a long time since I read! Wow, a lot has happened. How inconsiderate of Hank to die after procreating instead of before. At least you got a ghost baby, and without even having to kill anyone! Nice.

I had a huge gap where I didn't post at all, because I was hoping to finish before University Life was released.

That didn't happen! ;D

I did get Hél to Young Adult today, and opened her up in a different file's CAS to see how she looks as a human. She's so pretty!

Though, I have no idea where that blonde came from!

There's been no blonde from any of my supernaturals or their spouses, and Hél's father is Keenan Keaton, son of Marty and Justine, and neither of them are blonde either!

I'm hoping to finish up this challenge this weekend. *fingers crossed*

Good luck on finishing!

And it's amusing that Hél still has the same eyes that Jaycen Hendrix brought in (and good; they're a rather pretty set of eyes).

Nah, Jaycen has a light brown shade to his hair. But I do absolutely love his eye color persisting this long - and his eye shape is still pretty evident in Mary, when she's not pulling off funny faces.

"Shirin, would you please talk to me? I'm really sorry, I didn't mean it!"

"Mean what?"

"Calling you a fatty!"

"Oh. That. I didn't care, actually. Just had a bunch of other stuff going on. Had a friend come in from out of town. Went out of town with a few friends. Sick, better, doctor's visits, and the gym thing."

"Oh. You're ok?"

"Yes, yes I am. Update me on Hél, she's the 7th one, isn't she?"

"Yes, she is! There's not much to tell, unfortunately. She got her things done, mostly between painting and writing. She was going to use gardening for her career, but she couldn't use the skill certificate because Lilith and Mary both have one, so she went to firefighting and spent a day and a half getting her handiness up to get to level 6. Then she quit and went back to writing. I didn't take any pictures, because it really is that boring."

"There must be something."

"Well...here's a picture of her at her first birthday, and a couple as a toddler."

"And then there's the one with her cute high school boyfriend, Ralph McCoy. She didn't make it to the prom, though, because of work."

"That's too bad."

"And Hél graduated at top of her class."

"Oh, and Nan finally got to the top of her career, so they had a big celebration for her at City Hall."

"Finally, Keenan died, just after getting off work and getting home. He didn't even make it in out of the snow before he died."

"Did Hél finish everything, though?"

"Yup, even with a Gifting Party in there (Lil was evil and gave her some toilet paper)! Oh, speaking of Lil, here's that picture of Hank she took while he was drowning."

"That was pretty cold of her."

"Yeah, well, that's our Lil."

"So I guess you have a few more pictures for me?"

"I sure do! This is the wall where we put career rewards and portraits."

"And this is the museum stuff you demanded. I did the ice sculptures; Theeny did the potions; Thoth did the flasks; Nan did the inventions on my sculptures; Lil did the pictures - of garden plants, no less; Mary did the bottles of nectar; Hél did the books. Each of her books are named after each of us."

"Lastly, there's this picture of us!"

(Front row: Amaterasu, fairy; Athena, werewolf; Thoth, witch Back row: Inanna, genie; Lilith, vampire; Mary, normal; Hél, ghost)

"Congratulations, Ama! It only took you 48 weeks, 7 days. That's not bad at all! So, what's next?"

"Mary was splicing some seeds together, and gave some to Hél, saying they're forbidden to have. Hél, predictably, is going to plant one and see what happens."

"That sounds...interesting."

"You have no idea...."

Thanks very much!

This was a blast, except for the part of my Evil and Childish sims wanting to scare everyone (Ama managed to completely tank her relationship with Athena just by doing that every time I took my eyes off her), and I really really really hate Slob traits (licking plates clean is one thing, but that awful "om nom nom" sound they make to go with it? Shudder inducing).
