Can't Extend Fountain

I'm attempting to convert a pool in front of my sims' house into a fountain. At first the game informed me that the fountain couldn't intersect objects, so I moved the two rocks and fern out of the way. Then I deleted the pool and attempted to put a fountain in it's place, only to be greeted with the following message:

This is infuriating! The ground is flat and the objects are out of the way. Why can't I finish the fountain? Many thanks to whoever can help me around this.

I think it's because of the post box, try mocing it out of the way and try again.

I thought so too, but I still got the message even after moving the mail box out of the way.

You could always try moveobjects on. I'm not sure how entirely well it works with fountains, though.

Hi Fluffy Puff,

I ran into a similar problem when I was building a pool.  What I did to work around it is deleted the tile that I built around the pool area. Placed the pool and the replaced the tile.

So maybe you could try deleting the tile around your fountain. Finish placing your fountain and then replace your tile. Depending on how far out you want your fountain you may need to temporarily move the items that maybe in the way untill you've placed the fountain where you want it. Then move the items back.
