Sprinklers... lethal to Simbots?
« on: June 18, 2010, 01:12:32 AM »
I'm curious, are sprinklers able to "short-out" simbots or not?

Going on them not being able to jump in the spa in sims 2, I would say most probably yes.
I remember my robot in sims 2 got an urge to go jump in the spa. :-*

*edit: I spelt spa as spar and somehow ended up with sprinkler.

We could save just before we have the bot run under the sprinkler I suppose.

Yeah, but I wonder about simbots...

Thanks Deb, though.

Okay, after checking out another board, they do apparently short out with water. But that was jumping in a pool.
Wonder how long they would have to stand under the sprinkler for.  :o

Okay, because I'm making a story and I'm in need to know if it does, because one of my simbots was playing with sprinklers for a second, but nothing happened, so... I need to know if it CAN short them out.

According to other players, yes it did. They had to get rid of love the outdoors to stop their simbot from playing under the sprinkler.
I am not sure if I am allowed to tell you the link where I found it. If not, I apologise.

It was also on the EA message board under ambitions.

I've played a lot with simbots and they do immediately short out when they play with a sprinkler, but it's not like they're dying or anything. They're automatically re-energised after a couple of hours.

You can also reprogram their traits after they have shorted out.
