Glad we will be seeing more of these guys now! Malcolm looks very very evil there. Gave me a little fright.
Don't worry, he won't hurt you. He's gentle, and kind
It warms my heart to see Malcolm alive and well in your game. It's been so long since I've played the Rusts and seen Malcolm's ghost hanging around, so I miss him dearly.
I don't approve of Branch's new lifestyle. He has fairyboos to make with Cricket, darn it!
Yep, that was just for you, Trip.
I don't approve of it either, and neither does Marjorie, but there is a reason, as you will find out in this chapter.
Chapter 23: Drinks and DrinksZack and 'the boys' have a night out. The vampire boys, that is.
Here's Brittany Bertiger all grown up and playing for tips in a bar. What would poor Martin think?
Erica is sure having a good time. Notice the townie in the back wearing the ever-appropriate bar outfit--a wedding dress.
Marjorie is not being co-operative.
Marjorie: Me? You're blaming me?Who is it that won't pop another 5K wish, then?
M: Not my fault! So she has taken up mixology.
She is terrible.
M: Hey!It's true! The only one who will drink your drinks is Bonehilda.
Oh, and your poor, suffering husband, of course.
Zack (thinking): If this is what it takes for us to have a baby, so be it.
Blonde paparazza: You're married? Oh, you awful, awful man!Poor Zack, all the paparazzi are in love with him.
Out of an entire bar full of drinks, only one is fit for consumption.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Zack gets yet another promotion!
When he gets home, Marjorie is
still mixing drinks--but they're finally getting better.
The next day, as Marjorie is once again at the bar, an old friend stops by.
M: Branch! How are you, old friend?
Branch (thinking): I have to snoop for a living, but it beats sleeping on a park bench. (aloud) Oh, I'm well enough. Then they catch up in their good old way.
But what's this? Poor Branch has a broken heart! Ahh, the woes of falling in love with a human. Their lives are as a summer day. No wonder the poor man can only be a paparazzo! No doubt he lost himself when he lost his love.
M: There, there. Cheer up, old boy! You still have friends who love you!
Branch: Thanks, Marjorie. That helps.Later that evening...
Zack is still thinking about babies...
But Marjorie is still mixing drinks.
Author's NotesMarjorie took about thirteen weeks to complete all her requirements, so if it seems like forever, that's because it basically was. I gave up on her coming up with her fifth 5k wish on her own and got her into mixology instead. It was a long hard slog, but we did get there in the end! Keep holding on! And thank you to my readers for your patience.
