I know I just posted, but I'm on campus with nothing to do and this is an exciting chapter!

Chapter Eleven: Commitment Issues

Zack: I really like you, Marjorie.
Marjorie: I like you, too, Zack.


Z: Then...will you be my girlfriend?


What is she going to say? We all know Marjorie has Commitment Issues...

M: Yes.


Hurray!

They celebrate their newly official relationship in a very traditional manner.

...Traditional for whom, I could not tell you.

Zack went to bed that morning a very happy vampire.



Berthe the Vampire Gnome wants to give you a tour of Zack's special vampire room.

My, that didn't take long.


Marjorie met Bailey Swain at the consignment shop. She takes this opportunity to tell her a fairy tale. About witches. Some fairy tale.

M: And they turned the boy into a mouse! They were going to turn all the children into mice!


Later, when she's off duty, Bailey shows up at the elixir shop. Apparently the Prince Edward she's waiting for is a little late in coming.


Marjorie wants to cheer her up.

M: And you would not believe his celebrity impressions! They were hilarious!

Meanwhile, in the background, an aged Bianca Crumplebottom is still stylish. I am loving that dress!

M: Say, are you getting married?

You think if she were getting married, she'd be here? A little insensitive, Marjorie.


Marjorie and Zack do a nice pose for this young up-and-comer, Israel Spain. He's just getting started in the paparazzi business and they support young businesspeople.



Zack was not cut out for the Medical career, as it turns out. Too much work for a Couch Potato. He opts for the Culinary career instead. Its night hours will suit a vampire, and its skill requirements and rewards will suit the house. Zack decides to get some practise in, and makes waffles for his darling elm blossom.


Rounding out this domestic scene, Marjorie shows her appreciation by taking care of the laundry. She didn't like the old noisy washing machine so I bought her a new one, like the kind, caring Watcher I am.
M: It wasn't just noisy, it was inefficient. Such a waste of water and energy.
*Rolls eyes* That's an Eco-Friendly Sim for you. It's less of a waste to spend more.


Oh, turns out I was wrong about Zack. He's not making waffles, but Plasma fruit pancakes for himself.
M: I grew those plasma fruits!
So I guess Marjorie is the one showing love at the moment.


Wrong again! Turns out they were actually Flame fruit pancakes for Marjorie. Anyone else's head in a whirl?
Z: You were half right. I did make myself Plasma fruit pancakes too. They burned.

Z: How are they?
M: Mmmmm, delicious. Thank you, honey!
Please note the appropriate chairs. It took me awhile to get them to sit in the right ones.


This is the combination vampire bedroom/dining room. Pretty cool-looking, no? Marjorie is enjoying the Mood lamp I just bought her.

M: Aaaaaaahh!
I'm sorry Marjorie, I had no idea that would happen!

Poor Marjorie.

Despite Marjorie's Commitment Issues, I think it's pretty easy to see how she feels right now.

Funny, right? Strangely, until you pointed it out, I don't think I even realised both his names are countries *smacks forehead* I've known several people named Israel, though, so I'm going to use that as an excuse.

He was understandably cautious. No one knew how Marjorie would react. Fortunately, it was well.

I feel like I'm really dragging this out, but you have to understand, this covered about thirteen weeks. Hopefully things will get moving faster now!

Well everyone, I have good news and bad news.

I made a stupid mistake and so I am no longer Hall of Fame eligible.

However, I am too invested in this dynasty and story to stop now. So this will henceforth be my practise Life States Dynasty, where I can make all my mistakes and learn how to do it better next time.

If you still want to accompany me and the Callahans on their journey to a Life States Dynasty, please do.

I am bitterly disappointed on this but oh well, it's all part of the story right?

I think it's a great idea to keep going, it will help you immensely when you do your next try. Especially since no one has completed a dynasty yet, so there isn't much info on how on what could go wrong or right.

True. There's no board on it yet or anything. Maybe I should start one!

Oh sure, there's no harm in telling you what went wrong. You can avoid this problem yourselves if you should attempt this dynasty. I unthinkingly gave my heir a makeover, NOT on her birthday, before she completed all her requirements. So she was ineligible for life extension and I extended it. Not on purpose, of course, I simply forgot that the makeover station would do that It's a dumb reason to fail, I would rather have not made such a silly mistake, but like I said it's more important to me to keep going than to start over.

Well my mum has a habit of calling things "practise", that way anything that goes wrong is just educational rather than devastating. I guess I picked that up from her

Well even though you failed HoF eligibitlity, you can still complete the Dynasty the rest of the way perfectly, and you'll still be one of the first few to finish it even without HoF under your name.  Besides, I like the Callahans; will you start with Marjorie the next time?

I actually had no idea that makeovers extended life, and the only reason I knew about tattoos is from reading the Dreamweaver Immortal Dynasty.   This could have easily happened to  me too!  So thank you for sharing your practice experience with us.  *Hugs*

Yes, that's my plan. I mean completing the Dynasty perfectly.  Maybe, if I go really fast, I can be the very first! That would take some of the sting out of not being HoF. I am so glad you like the Callahans.  I won't use Marjorie next time, no. For one thing, I wouldn't want to put her through all the work again! She doesn't care if she's Hall of Fame or not, so she'll feel perfectly accomplished doing the Dynasty this time. I think I may start with a different life state altogether next time. Maybe even a man! I've never used a male Founder before, it could be very interesting.

I was really sad at first, but now I'm quite pleased. It takes a load of pressure off not to be trying for HoF, and I can relax and enjoy the ride. I really do believe all that stuff I said about practise. It means this can just be a fun dynasty. I'm glad you'll still follow the Callahans, I was a tiny bit worried that people might lose interest if it wasn't HoF-worthy.

I completely forgot that makeovers extended life, in fact I think I may have thought it was a bug that got fixed, but either way, I did know once upon a time so there's really no excuse I'm so glad my experience may have saved someone else's Dynasty! It's worth it for that.

I'm so sorry about the HoF, but you have an awesome story going, so I'm glad you're going to continue with it.  It will be a great opportunity to try some of the professions/skills you haven't tried before and fine tune your strategy for future HoF attempts.

Chapter Twelve: Werewolf Celebrity Friends

Marjorie's been invited to a party! She is so super excited!

Marjorie: Thanks for inviting me, Haley!
Haley Sumari: No problem, best friend!

Malcolm Harris in the background: You could really stand to brush your teeth a bit.

M: So guess what? I'm engaged! Crazy, I know!
Dreadlocked individual: Her fiance, Zack Durwood? Yeah, I heard he's a vampire now.

Rude old lady: Laws, I just hate fairies.
Dreadlocked individual (thinking): How rude! She's standing right there!



M: Guess what, Malcolm? I'm engaged!

M: Cool, making friends with you makes me a higher-starred celebrity!
Malcolm (sniffing): I feel so used!

M: Awwww, don't be sad. Here, let's play tag!
Malcolm: Oh! Oh! I gotcha! No wait...Now I gotcha! No...

M: What's going on with Malcolm?


M: Oh, hey! You look like my new friend Malcolm except not a werewolf!
*Shakes head* Oh, Marjorie...



Oh yes, Marjorie is on the trail. The trail of werewolf celebrities in Moonlight Falls. If I didn't know any better, I'd say she was out to befriend them all!

(On another note, I find it hilarious, though a bit sad, that Evil, Snob, Supernatural Skeptic Miriam Hoppcraft was changed by Story Progression into a werewolf. Oh the irony.)

Most people don't like people trying to impress them in the bathroom, Marjorie.


She is one tough cookie! Marjorie is still trying to impress Miriam as they sit down to waffles (made by Miriam. Even Marjorie doesn't risk cooking at another Sim's stove while trying to impress her.) Also, why is Marjorie in her sleepwear now?


M: Those were some great waffles, Mrs. H!
You sound like a kid staying over at another kid's house and talking to his mother.


M: so, you're a werewolf, that's cool.

Bad move, Marjorie! She's a Supernatural Skeptic, she doesn't like being reminded of her "condition".

It is at this point that the two women realise they have the most fundamentally conflicting traits.


M: I am so sorry! Please forgive me!
Whether for bringing up Miriam's "condition" or being Good, I don't know.


Marjorie has a wish to give Miriam a gift, now that they're friends.


Ahh, I forgot. Snob. Apparently that gift wasn't expensive enough:


Oh well. At least they're friends now.
