Introduction

Couldn't think of a clever name, so I went with the direct approach.

This is my first Sims story! I've always been a bit intimidated to write one, but since this Dynasty's approach sort of forces me to go with the flow (I haven't done nearly as much planning ahead on this one as my Immortal Dynasty or DecaDynasty) I figure it can be my gateway story as well.

Hello, everyone! I have someone I'd like you to meet! This is Marjorie Callahan.

I got pretty lucky with Marjorie's traits. She is Good, Eco-Friendly, Inappropriate, Heavy Sleeper, and has Commitment Issues. Eco-Friendly is perfectly brilliant, since I have plans for her to be a gardener and as a Fairy she has the innate Green Thumb hidden trait. Inappropriate also comes in handy before we can afford a shower. Commitment Issues was less brilliant, but at least I could get her to focus on all her requirements before she clamoured for a husband. Her Lifetime Wish is Greener Gardens, so she is going to get plenty of chances to "replenish the earth."

Edited: Her fifth trait is Heavy Sleeper, not Hydrophobic. I can never remember all five traits!

Hmmm, yes. Good point. Well she's very much in love with her spouse now (Spoilers!) but I will probably have to move him out eventually, to make room.

I am not posting any more just yet because I am afraid I'm about to fail my first attempt. If I make it through the next stage, I'll go ahead and post more on this story. Otherwise, when I start over I'll post that, since from what I've posted nothing will change, I'm still using Marjorie.

Chapter Two: A New Town

Good news, everyone! I did not fail my first attempt, so I shall carry on! And here we go...

Marjorie popped a wish to join Law Enforcement. I decided to humour her (for now), but as soon as she finished applying at Commonwealth Court, she walked out and was greeted by this:

For the next day she was too afraid to talk to anyone.
It's my first day in a new town, I can't fall in love with someone already! I don't know anything about anyone!
Whoa, you're going to talk now? I thought this story was going to be in third person!
I guess not.
Well, I'm not sure about that formatting.
We'll work on it.
So where were we?
I was not talking to anyone so I wouldn't fall in love against my will, mind you with some random Sim!
That's the Commitment Issues talking.
Are you saying you would like that to happen to you?
I'm just saying, some of my Sims would be a lot more open to it.
Hmph. Darn Hopeless Romantics.
Okay, moving on. So, if you didn't want to talk to anyone...
I decided I wanted to learn Writing.
So we paid a little visit to the Library of Lore.


Baby...crying...must...not...break...concentration!

She also wanted to learn Logic.


A little side note here: You can't play chess with someone in Eerie Park. As you can see here, the chairs on one side are too far away from the chess board.

That night, after a hard day of skilling, Marjorie went to sleep on a very empty lot in her little fairy house.

It is great playing a fairy! Not only does she live practically forever, but all she needs on a lot to make her happy is a fairy house and a tiny bathroom. So cheap! I wish I could start every dynasty with a Fairy Founder.

I like the whole 'sim interacting with the forum' style, always results in some good laughs.

I think it was just a mistake, but of course I don't know. I can't remember if Eerie Park is buyable, but if it is, I'm going to buy it just to fix that.

They totally are! I've enjoyed really exploring them thanks to this challenge. And the requirements are going very well, thank you. I need to update!

That is true! Good point. All right, I'll stick to fairies in Life State Dynasties then.
