Another Rosa story:
1) Book marked...
2) Feeling slightly stalkerish right now...
3) But love the stories, keep em coming 😊
Please. stalk me! Okay, that sounds weird, but you know what I mean. I like to see the same readers across the board, and new ones too! It's exciting! And here's a new chapter for you:
Chapter 41: Leaving Behind Childish ThingsTo start off with some AA (Ash adorableness):
Marjorie: Sissy writes books! When you get older, you can read them!
Ash: Sissy a book!Yeah, pretty much.
Vervain joins Rose on the sofa for one last--what is this called? I can't even remember! Something about driving, anyway--
Notice that even though Vervain is the elder, she looks to Rose for direction when it comes to things relating to imagination. And notice too that I remembered to put the roof on in these shots.
But why is it the last, you ask? Well, because Vervain is about to be too old to do things like that anymore.
It's a typical birthday at the Callahans'--toddler playing with his IF doll on the floor, Marjorie pointing and laughing, and a ghost celebrating alongside. In the middle of the day. Oh yeah, you can't get this stuff anywhere else.
Vervain! Where did you go? You've turned to wings and sparkles!
Oh, there you are.
Vervain: My hair!Don't worry, I'll fix it.
Vervain: Awesome, I can use magic now.
M: Excuse me, some of us are trying to eat cake here.
Zack: And there's another one coming--madness!Hey, what happened to Mr I-Think-I'm-Family-Oriented-Even-Though-I-Don't-Have-The-Trait?
Z: That was far too long.It got away from me, yeah.
Z: Marjorie, why do you keep having nooboos?Hey, it takes two to tango, Mister!
Z: Yeah, but you don't see me having them, do you?Where are you going, Rose?
Rose: Away. Too many people. Too much noise. Too much parent grossness.Z: Here's an idea for you: When you have about three kids, it's okay to stop. Especially when they all have nappies and need training and food all the time.
A: Bad idea! You tell him, Ash! He doesn't even have to feed you, what a whinger.
Z: Also, cooking is hard work.
A: Daddy cook!Z: If you can avoid it, don't get a job where you have to punch a clock. It's tying you down.I don't think he's listening you anymore.
V: Well, time to get a job!Already? You just had your birthday! I haven't even given you a makeover yet!
V: What can I say? Teen birthday = wish to get a Part-Time Job. Time to start growing up.What are you going to get, then?
V: Probably Grocery Clerk. I'd like to work with produce. Oh, I'm sure that can be arranged…
V: Okay, done. You can make me over now.
V: Not with my mum's hair! Gah! Get it off me!I was just trying to see if you look like her. You don't, by the way. It's shocking.
V: Phew. Much better.I agree.
V: Thanks, this is so much better than what I aged up in.Darn right it is. That's one of the many privileges of being watched. A moment of silence for Eunice Classic's YA dress . . .
Everyday
Formal (In the case of teens, also known as Prom outfit)
Sleep wear
(I love this hair so much)
Athletic (I think this combination is too cute!)
And finally, Swim wear.
V: All right!You're welcome.
Author's NotesSorry there's not much Rose in this chapter, especially you asked to see a lot of her. Don't worry though, as the heir she will be the focus much of the time. She was just
Put on a Bus for this episode.
Hahaha I'm so funny.
