Stuck between adventures

I can't have new adventures that I need to unlock the buildings, and therefore the corresponding chambers and tombs. This counts for Egypt, China and France. What do I need to do? The adventure board gives only some catch crocodiles and bring this amount of nectar to that address.
And I really want to complete my Chinese-, Egyptian- and France-tomb collection.

If you want to complete the tombs collections just walk into the "missing" tombs without adventure. Some tombs do not have an adventure associated to them anyway. If you are sure that you miss a tomb adventure and want to do it you will have to keep checking the adventure board every day. There should be four or five adventures available each day. Make sure you take long vacations so you have more time to catch the missing adventures.

Some of the tomb adventures are also limited to certain visa levels.

I have a similar problem. It happened especially in Al Simhara when I cancelled a chain of adventures. I can never find that adventure chain on the board again. It now only shows the mini adventures that just give you more points or money, etc., but don't lead you through a tomb. I had tried to do all the adventures possible in all three locations, doing all the adventures until the multi-chain adventures no longer come up on the board, and also using the eye thingy item to look for tombs to explore, but at the end of it all, I have statues missing from each location - you know, the statues for each major tomb explored? I am missing some from all 3 locations, but most especially from Al Simhara. I have just given up. I have other relic collections completed, and full visa level at all locations, vacation homes (or the remains of them - moving to another neighbourhood wiped the lots clean for some reason), so I'm happy enough. Interesting to know that others have similar problems. And no, moving to another neighbourhood does not seem to have reset the adventures, I still only see the useless mini ones on the board.

Indeed pallyndrome. Your problems sound exactly like mine. Moving doesn't help either. The 'eye thingy' you are talking about is probably the eye of Horus. But I thought that one only shows the excavation places where you can dig up archeological treasures.

@ branr: My sim does have the max visa points for all countries. It was her LTW though.

@ ik: the tombs I am talking about are locked. They need a certain key to be opened, and those need to come with an adventure.

Hmm, I personally don't like to do it this way: but isn't there a cheat otherwise to unlock the doors?

Yes, I know. But that doesn't unlock some tombs, nor does it give some solutions for the specific country relics.

Actually, maybe I can put a nectar rack on a lot and spawn with buydebug some specific keys out of it. If nothing else helps I can try that.

Anyway, I went through the multi-adventure, which was a little tedious because I'd already explored those tombs without the adventure. But my photographer sim got some great shots. I still have no idea how to get the location relics that I'm missing (for each tomb).

Mostly they are in a treasure chest in a hidden room. If you can't find them, do you maybe have the Prima Guide for it? All the maps are in there.

Wow I'd never heard of Carl's Sims 3 Guide before!

Unfortunately I can't remember all the adventures I have and haven't done at France, I just know I've run out of multi-adventure strands - all the ones to be found on the board are just fetch something ones that don't lead anywhere.

But on a second look, perhaps I am mistaking some multi-adventure strands for single strands - like the new nectar machine asking for Titanium. I'll have to look into it next time I go to France.

No, that one is an original adventure that leads to a few others at the nectary in France. There are several adventure groups in all locations that include a few "bring me this or that" steps inbetween or even to start the whole thing. I often do not remember which adventure leads where but simply do all adventures where i am not positive that the very same sim already did that one. This way, i am fairly sure not to miss anything .
