Harvestmoon Life State Dynasty - Dante Returns! Well, sort of.
« Reply #90 on: October 14, 2012, 06:16:19 PM »
I made a special area for Dante near the tranquil place where he and Ruby spent so much of their time together.  Now she can feel like he's almost still there with her, and talk to him whenever she wants.

Remember Jermaine Crocker, Lilith's friend from high school who clocked her with a pillow?  Well he's now a YA also, and he must have heard the terrible news because he called Lilith and asked if he could visit.

He listened sympathetically as she grieved over her father then let her cry on his shoulder, which I thought was sweet.

He apparently had ulterior motives for all of this though because immediately afterward the jerk started flirting with her!  Then when Lilith rejected his advances, he started being really mean and rude to her.  Ugh, he must have gotten an awful trait when he aged up.  Needless to say, his calls will now be ignored.  Fortunately he doesn't even live in Moonlight Falls so she won't have to see him around town either.

In an attempt to forget about that upsetting incident, that evening Lilith threw herself into her painting.  She was about halfway finished with her "Sima Lisa"  when the lamp on her bedside table suddenly began moving and floating in the air.  What on earth?

Oh Dad!  He definitely managed to cheer her up.

On his first ghostly visit to his former house, Dante then raided the refrigerator.

Then proceeded to break the trash compactor.

Then he played a little foosball.

Before finally sitting for a while in Lilith's old nursery, near the portrait he painted of her when she was a toddler.  Awwww.

I'm really glad that he can still come out and interact with his family like this.  It helps take the sting away from his unexpected death.

It's sad that Dante died so unexpectedly, but at least he has an awesome ghost, and can come visit! Jermaine was a jerk!

So glad to see Dante again.
Jermaine is a cad! Tator Wolff should be grown up by now or maybe the Hopplewaite? boy. And then there was a Bryce somebody that grows up pretty cute!
Look at me, trying to be a matchmaker. :-[ I know you have Lilith's future spouse all picked out.  :D

I doubt it, Gator Wolff never seems to grow up by himself. Great update Silverbella! I was a little disappointed though--judging by the title I was hoping Oh My Ghost! came up and Dante was back back.

What a sweet ghostly visit. Though I hate it when ghosts seem to break everything.

Danté's a cool vamp, but he's a bit of a mean ghost.

Yeah and he seemed promising as a teen, so it's too bad he ended up being so horrible :/

So glad to see Dante again.

Hehe Tator would be an awesome nickname for him!  I actually still have no idea who Lilith will end up with, although I do have it narrowed down :)

Awww I'm sorry Rosa.  Dante won't be coming back, but I just wanted to show that he's still part of the family.  This is my first family ghost, and I'm loving the fact that family members are not just gone forever.

What a sweet ghostly visit. Though I hate it when ghosts seem to break everything.

Do ghosts tend to break a lot of stuff?  It's okay though, Bonehilda was all over it :)

Danté's a cool vamp, but he's a bit of a mean ghost.

Nah he wasn't being mean, he was just having a bit of fun with Lilith.  He has to find something to replace the morning video games after all!  And the trash compactor just accidentally broke when he put his empty plasma juice container in there.

Lilith has been working hard on her painting lately.  I don't think I fully explained it before because it's not exactly the most interesting thing to read about, but she's doing painting for her career, along with consignment.  The painting career is the easy part, it's the 150 paintings for the consignment store that she's been slaving away at of late.

This "Sim With the Pearl Earring" is one of my favorites.

As a reward for all of her hard work, I let Lilith take a break one night to go have some fun at Varg's Tavern.  While there she decides to hunt for the first time.  I had never seen this done before, it's so cool!  Looks like she's picked out her unsuspecting donor, so she goes over to introduce herself.

And he's actually pretty cute.  His name is Federico Kirby, he's human, and his family just moved into town.  They spend quite  a while chatting and getting to know each other.

Pretty soon she forgets all about hunting and they just spend the rest of the night on the dance floor instead.  Along with that happy dancing zombie.

The next day Lilith runs into the Wolff's at the park.  Perpetually teenaged Gator takes the opportunity to try and impress her by pointing out how much his fangs have grown.  Fortunately he and Lilith are still close friends.

She even agrees to spend the rest of the night trying to teach him how to parallel park.  He was a pretty awful driver, but I suspect he may have been pretending to be extra horrible just so that Lilith would spend more time tutoring him.

It was after this driving session that I had a long conversation with Rica about how I could possibly fix Gator's aging bug.  I figured that if I used a cure potion it would allow him to age, but I was unwilling to take away the wolfy-ness that is such an inherent part of his family.

She helped me come to the conclusion though that it would be just as horrible to leave him as a teen forever.  She also pointed out that he might very well get turned back into a werewolf, since he lives with a family of them.  So I decided to go ahead and cure him.  I also got permission to cure the other Wolff children as well, so their brother wouldn't leave them behind.

So here are the now human Wolff children!  Time to cross my fingers and see what happens.

Lilith runs into Federico Kirby a few more times around town.  They get along really well, and he makes it very clear that he wants to take their friendship further.  She never accepts his advances however, because although he is a nice guy and she really does enjoy talking to him, someone else is always in the back of her mind.

One afternoon Lilith gathers up her newest paintings and takes them down to the consignment shop.  The store clerk is Erica Wolff, and after their business is finished Lilith often hangs around to chat with her for a while.  But instead of their usual small talk, Erica has some very exciting news to share today....about her son.

Could it really be true?

Lilith forgets to even say goodbye to Erica in her haste to leave the store and make her way across town as quickly as possible.  She goes directly to where Erica told her to look, her shoulders slumping in disappointment when she doesn't see him.

It's then that she hears her name spoken softly in a low gravely voice just behind her, and slowly turns around.

Standing there behind her with a big wolfy grin,  is a grown up Gator Wolff.

He opens his arms and Lilith rushes into them immediately.  This isn't just a platonic hug between two old friends though, and they both know instantly that this was how it was supposed to be, before unfortunate circumstances separated them as teenagers.  They spend long moments just looking at one another.

Gator can't stay long tonight, but before he leaves he asks Lilith if he can come over to her house the following evening, and she agrees before he can
even finish the question.  He chuckles at this, then gently strokes her cheek as he goes, promising to see her tomorrow.

All of the butterflies in Lilith's stomach make it difficult for her to fall asleep that night.

They are going to have the most beautiful children! Such fantastic genes! How cool that it worked out for you!
You know, not a lot of Sims could pull of such a bright red shade of lipstick, but Lilith carries it perfectly. Gorgeous.
