Harvestmoon Life State Dynasty - Burning Loins!
« on: September 25, 2012, 03:54:47 AM »
Meet Ruby Harvestmoon, founder of my first ever dynasty attempt.

Life State: Witch
Lifetime Wish: Be a Mystic Healer
Traits: Perfectionist, Vegetarian, Clumsy, Lucky, Angler (Random)
Favorites: Classical Music, Fruit Parfait, Black (Random)

And what a humble beginning it is.  Just a girl and her mailbox.

Because Ruby is a vegetarian, and because I don't plan on her ever having any cooking skill, she is going to be eating a LOT of these conjured apples.

Ruby knows she has a lot of work to do to get her Dynasty off to a good start and she's already feeling the pressure, so she immediately hops on her trusty Zoomsweeper Classic broom, and heads to the library.

Ruby dreams of being able to heal the sick and injured with her potions, so she gets to work learning alchemy right away.  In no time she's made her very first potion.

After several hours at the alchemy table, Ruby decides to go upstairs go upstairs and mingle with the locals.  She spots a handsome vampire reading near the window, and goes over to introduce herself.  They chat for quite a while and she finds out that his name is Dante Morganthe, and that he's ambitious.  He also happens to be single.

They hit it off so well in fact that he coaxes her into a secluded corner of the library and turns on the charm.  As you can see here, he even uses his "sexy brooding vampire"  look on her.  How can she possibly resist that?   Lots of flirting then ensues...apparently in addition to being ambitious Dante is also flirty.  Yep she's definitely in trouble.

Time seems to fly in the company of the charming vampire and before she knows it it's late into the night, so Ruby exchanges numbers with Dante and heads home.  Well to her mailbox anyway, since she doesn't exactly have a home yet.  She does have a cheap bed to sleep in at least.  All in all not a bad first day for Ruby!  :)

Story sounds promising! Ruby seems like a very likeable witch (oh my, never thought I'd use those two words together in the same sentence!). I don't trust the vamp though. Too smooth.

You did decide to do a story!  What a nice start and I agree.. the vamp is one to watch.  But I might be saying that because he's a hunky lump of pixels.

Nice start and good luck!

The next morning Ruby goes to the nearby gym to have a quick shower, and who should happen to be there working out but Dante.  He notices Ruby as she enters and seems really pleased to see her as he quickly jumps off of his treadmill and makes a beeline for her.  There is no secluded corner this time, but it soon becomes apparent that Dante doesn't care about being in clear view of the other gym patrons as he once again begins flirting like crazy with Ruby.  At one point as he's pulling her close and whispering sweet nothings to her, this little fairy girl walks in the door and seems rather disgusted by the PDA.  Ruby seemed to be completely fine with it though.

After a while Dante reluctantly returns to his workout thereby freeing Ruby to have her shower, but her knees are decidedly weak and her stomach is filled with butterflies as she walks down the stairs to the women's locker room.

Afterward she leaves the gym in a rush because her unexpected romantic interlude put her behind schedule.  She hurries to scope out a good fishing spot at the local pond and soon after earns her first fishing skill point.  Because of her angler trait this is how Ruby is going to be spending most of her time.  She enjoys the peace and quiet but it gives her plenty of time to think, and as she stands on the grassy bank Ruby can't keep her mind from wandering back to Dante.  She seems to be falling hard for the handsome vampire.

Seriously, Ruby, do you REALLY think it's a coincidance that scaly vamp was there? Come on you can't possibly be so oblivious to the game he's playing...

Ruby continues to work hard on her fishing all week, and soon she's catching all sorts of exotic new species.  She even gets a 7,500k wish to catch every type of fish that Moonlight Falls has to offer!

One night after a particularly long and tiring day of sea fishing, it's all Ruby can do to drag herself back to her mailbox and tumble into her cheap bed.  She falls into an exhausted sleep almost immediately.   Unfortunately tonight is a full moon, and she hasn't been asleep long when a nearsighted zombie crawls out of the ground next to her.  It's soon joined by another, and the two undead visitors spend the rest of the night growling over her and moaning about brains.  Poor Ruby, no wonder she's dreaming about getting a house!

Ruby's many days spent fishing and selling her catches have allowed her to save up a little money, so the next night when she returns from the lake I make sure it's finally to an actual house.  A pathetic little box house because my sim building skills are atrocious...but it's better nothing.  It does look similar the house she was dreaming about at least  ;D

It's definitely not much, but at least it keeps the zombies at bay.  And no more showering at the gym, yay!

Finally she sleeps warm :) No amount of blankets will truly and properly keep you warm out in the cold. And it's a sweet little house with a witchy charm and great potential.

Ruby has been so busy with her fishing all week that she hasn't been able to see Dante at all, so that weekend she makes plans to meet him at his house.

When she arrives she's extremely impressed that he has dressed up for the occasion.  Apparently he is planning for this date to be special!

They chat for a while before Dante takes Ruby upstairs, but he doesn't do any of his usual flirtatious joking and teasing.  Instead he holds her close and looks deeply into her eyes.

And Ruby's heart is racing as he slowly leans in...and they share their very first kiss.

And much to my surprise Ruby then offers herself as a snack immediately afterwards.  (She's the one who had the "Offer Nutrients" social come up, so apparently this was  her idea!)

No wonder it didn't look like she minded.  She even got a +20 positive moodlet from it!

At least Dante was gentleman enough to give her flowers afterward.

Following that intense bonding experience, Ruby confesses her feelings to Dante.  He enthusiastically reciprocates...and they officially become a couple.
