Tiberium from conversion ritual
« on: September 21, 2012, 09:22:48 AM »
My witch sim just got some tiberium from doing a conversion ritual, but I can't seem to do anything with the raw material.  If it's in his inventory, the only option I have is cast spell...conversion ritual and if its on the ground I get the same plus view.
I was hoping to get it cut so it would grow. He has been able to get cut all the other gems he has from conversion rituals but not this one.

Anyone else had this happen?
We could learn a lot from crayons:
Some are sharp, some are pretty,
Some are dull, some have weird names,
And all are different colors....but
They all exist very nicely in the same box.

OK, so clicking directly on it doesn't work. Have you tried clicking on the Gem Cutter and going the "Cut a Stack of Gems" route? I seem to remember that working for me when something similar happened.
A 1920s era house needing heat, AC, new floors, new drywall on the walls and ceilings, new bathroom fixtures, new kitchen cabinets, new water heaters.... The roof is sound, but why didn't I just buy an empty lot?

Tiberium that comes from somewhere other than WA locations needs a bit of time to be ready to get cut. I had the same issue with the tiberium my dog found. My solution was to leave it sitting around for a while (I left it on the ground but the inventory works too) and every so often I clicked it until I had the option to get it cut. It took about a sim-day or so to be "ready".

Of course if cutting them as a stack works thats way easier!

The gem cutter worked great, thanks  :)
I tried leaving it in my sims inventory for a few sims days, but still the same original options.

I can't believe I didn't think to try the gem cutter earlier  ::)

The problem I had came from cancelling the gem cutter the first time, so that's why I tried it again that way.
