Grim Tidings

Here's how the boys turned out after their make-overs.

Teen Owen:

Child Nolan:

Nolan was a rambunctious child.

While Owen, on the other hand, was quite studious. He dutifully joins Gwenyth, and they do their homework together.

Unfortunately, not all of their teenage friends are so well behaved.

Then, on the day of Carmen's young adult birthday, Grim came for Carmella. I mean seriously Grim, can't you think of a better way to say "Happy Birthday?"

She begged for more time, hoping to meet the grandchild she was sure she'd one day have, but Grim remained steadfast.

Carmen aged up alone. After the day he'd just had, he wasn't in the mood for celebration.

After his makeover, Samura headed up stairs to cheer him up. The two of them are quite close, actually, which is really sweet. I often find the two of them autonomously spamming each other with friendly socials. She takes care of him as she would her own son.

In closing, Samura sent Nolan off to boarding school at the school of peace and love.

Moonlit Falls seemed too morose for such a colorful child, and the family could use a little peace and quiet while they dealt with their grief.

RIP Carmella. I doubt the dynasty would be the same without her and her pleasantly green coloring. :'( On the other hand, someone can finally join Annalove in the family graveyard, right?

All the kids are so cute! I love how they're all such different colors, and Gwenyth is gorgeous!
I expect Azokka either to yell at everyone and totally dominate or else get out the popcorn.-Ombradellarosa

I love Carmella and her death came as a shock. Was she really that old?
Poor Carmen! Worst birthday ever... I felt a little consoled when Samura went in to cheer him up.
I'm very interested in all the children, but Carmen keeps pulling my heartstrings. He is so unique. I think he looks amazing!

Grim can be quite the meanie at times. R.I.P. Carmella

I just love this story. The sims are very colorful, there's also something about, bare, hairy chested man sims in the mix also. I can't wait to read more.

A double update today: I'm ahead in the game from where the story is right now, so I'm trying to get you all caught up to speed! Be prepared for lots of updates in the near future!

RIP Carmella. I doubt the dynasty would be the same without her and her pleasantly green coloring. :'( On the other hand, someone can finally join Annalove in the family graveyard, right?

Actually, I'm purposefully keeping Annalove as the only ghost on the lot. Everyone else gets a plot in the graveyard. I got tired of so many ghosts mucking about, but since I am somewhat responsible for Annalove's death, I'm keeping her around. I figured I owed it to her after letting her get killed less than 24 hours after moving her in!

All the kids are so cute! I love how they're all such different colors, and Gwenyth is gorgeous!

She really is! You know you'll love your simmies even if they aren't, but it's nice when they turn out as stunning as Gwenyth did.

I'm glad you think so, too! Carmen was such an awkward looking boy, so I always had a soft spot for him. He really grew into those facial features, though, and the hair is awesome.

Haha, I enjoy the hairy chested man sims as well!

Better Days

Of course, no matter how bad life gets, better days are always out there in the future. Fortunately, Carmen didn't have to wait long for his luck to change.

Gwenyth, after all, was having her young adult birthday only a few days behind him. They would be able to resume their romance and face the future together. So the family packed up the birthday cake for another party at the Red Velvet Lounge.

Gwenyth was none too happy with the ridiculous outfit she aged up in, but she was pleasantly surprised to see Carmen's dad, J.J. Fortier at the party. She pulled him aside for a quick chat.

Gwenyth: "Um, sir?" *whisper whisper*

Gwenyth: "Really? That's great!"

J.J.: "Of course, sweetie! And best of luck!"

With high spirits, Gwenyth enjoyed the rest of her birthday party, pleased that such an awkward conversation had gone well.

That very night, J.J. Fortier died of old age. Carmen was devastated to find himself an orphan, and Gwenyth desperately wanted to share her final words with J.J. There were just a few things she needed to get done before she did.

First, the obligatory make-over.

Followed by graduation at City Hall.

And then what do you know, she was right back at Red Velvet lounge.

They had all become quite famous by this point, and the press were all too eager to find some juicy news. Gwenyth decided to give them just what they were looking for.

Gwenyth: "Carmen, I spoke to your dad the night he died, and I'm so glad I did. He . . . he gives us his blessing! Marry me, Carmen, and I promise you'll always have a family for as long as you live!"

And given that this is an immortal dynasty, truer words have never been spoken.

Well what was he to say but "yes," when his own father had sent him a message from beyond the grave!

He accepted.

And they celebrated as only lovers can.

It's good to know that things are starting to look up again for Carmen, the poor guy. And I really like Gwenyth's colour scheme. I can't stop looking at her formal wear!

Aw, thanks for such a warm welcome back, Rica!

You're not the only one. I admit, I randomly stop and take needless pictures of Gwenyth just because she looks so awesome. Like this picture right here:

There's really no reason for it, other than that I paused the game and thought she looked like she was cat-walking down a runway!

Congratulations, Gwenyth and Carmen!
Beautiful shots, Rhoxi! :)

Thanks, SimBlip! It's one of the weird things I love about playing a dynasty--taking pictures to look at fondly later!

Moon Child

On the night of a full moon, Pablo aged up to Elder. Even a zombie came inside to join the celebration!

It was completely unplanned, but something about that full moon made Gwenyth want to get married ASAP.

The green glow in the air, the contented rumbling of zombies, the piercing howls of werewolves--what could possibly be more romantic?

A simple ceremony later, Gwenyth and Carmen headed up stairs to try for a baby.

After all, everyone knows babies conceived under a full moon are sure to be lucky! Well, either that or looney, but either way tonight was the night.

In fact, it seemed that that full moon made everyone a little strange. Apparently, Annalove needed to relax and take a bath.

Who knew being dead was so stressful?

It wasn't long before Gwenyth had good news to share.

Carmen, devoted spouse that he is, made sure she wanted for nothing: only rest and relaxation for this momma!

Despite having been through it several times herself, Samura was all a bundle of nerves when the expected day rolled around.

Gwenyth, in contrast, seemed strangely calm. She knew her child would be just perfect.

Gwenyth: "Alright, now how does this work? Breathe. Just Breathe. And think of a lovely color.

Colors . . . colors . . . Well, hey, my maternity pants are pink! That's a lovely color.

Pink.

Pink.

Pink.

No, wait! I've been eating apples!

Not pink.

Not pink.

Not pink!

Whoops! Oh well!"

Meet Gage, generation three, born with the Loves the Outdoors and Genius traits.

Who knows what strange future lies in store for a moon child?

Thinking of her marternity pants worked in unforeseeable ways!
Ah, the light of the silvery moon... Gage is bound to be special.

Welcome Gage. A pink nooboo boy. The moon does have strange effects on people.
