Samura's Final GiftLilith: "Well dear, how are you feeling? A little nervous?"
Rhoxi: "A little. After all, I'm finally going to meet Lester! Oh, and thanks for the potions."
Lilith: "Nervous about
meeting him? Sweetie, you're getting married today! Aren't you a little more nervous about that?"
Rhoxi: "Not at all! Some things are just meant to be, mom."
Lilith just shook her head.
It was so strange. Her little girl was getting married. It made her think about her own life. Would she ever marry someday?Rhoxi: "How do I look, mom? Do you think Lester will like it? What about him, did you give him the potion?"
Lilith: "You look wonderful. And don't worry about Lester; he's with your grandpas."
Rhoxi: "Awesome. Now, to become a fairy!'
Rhoxi: "Hm, we're gonna have to change these wings to pink!"
Gage: "Here you go, Lester. One young again potion, fresh from my chem lab!"
Lester: "Thanks!"
Lester: "I can't believe it! After all this time, and I'm finally going to marry Rhoxi!"
Darcy: "Welcome to the family, kiddo."
Alright everyone, let's get seated: we've got some fairies to marry!
The whole family was there, of course--except for one notable exception.
Rhoxi: "I, Rhoxi, promise to love you for the rest of my life--and now that I'm a fairy, that's a really long time!"
Lester: "I, Lester, promise to love you for the rest of my life--after all, I've waited for you for generations!"
The newlyweds celebrate with some cake, and the guests begin to mingle.
After all, this day was also a reunion for the Dojos that had been separated for so many years.
Lilith: "Mom! It's great to see you again! I hear you and dad are getting back together."
Doreen: "Of course, dear! You know, you should think about moving to France with us."
Lilith: "I'll think it over, but no promises."
Gage: "Marivell, my love! I know this is a little abrupt, but how would you like to come live with me in Sunlit Tides?"
Marivell: "I'd love to, dear! You know you're the only one for me."
Samura: "My son! Oh, Nolan, it's so good to see you again."
Gwenyth: "Mom, I don't see Carmen anywhere. Is it . . . is it true then?"
Samura: "I'm so sorry, dear. I tried, but . . . yes, it's true. Grim says he will release Carmen for nothing short of true love. After your betrayal, well . . ."
Gwenyth: "I get it, mom, and we've been over this. I'm prepared to pass whatever test Grim thinks is necessary to get Carmen back."
Samura: "I know, my daughter."
And then so softly that no one could hear her, Samura whispered,
"With this final embrace--I impart to you, a portion of my witchitude."It was strange, Samura thought,
that in the end, she'd still wish she had more time.
