I like her wish. She is going to specialise in Children's books then? Nice. I think you are doing well with her, very smart way of handling it. It almost brought a tear to my eye why she wanted to read so much. So realistic and sad. I hope she gets her wish.

Rhoxi would make a lovely fairy. I think she should get that after everything else she has to give up to commit to the dynasty.

Although having Rhoxi do all that reading as a child/teen had to be boring for her watcher it's going to pay off in the end, great plan.

Rhoxi will make a beautiful fairy, hope she finds a terrific husband.

Oh I forgot to mention that I love how you told what was going on with everyone else, with Rhoxi trying to shush them.

Somehow all that reading reminds me of my own childhood  ??? I hope Rhoxi can get her wishes once everyone is free from the immortal requirements. It'd be nice to see another pink fairy child roaming around *cough*like Lester*cough* huh? I didn't say anything  ::)

Thank you so much for updating right now. Rhoxi's doing a good job on her requirements and all.
No, thank so much for updating. I just got some super bad news that DC Comics is going to kill off the currernt Robin... For no real reason what so ever. *soul has died*
Anyway, great chapter and all.

Although I'm a nerd in many ways, one of those ways has not been reading comic books. The closest translation I can think of is, "Omg, they cancelled Firefly?!?" If it's anything like that, I feel your pain.

I like her wish. She is going to specialise in Children's books then? Nice. I think you are doing well with her, very smart way of handling it. It almost brought a tear to my eye why she wanted to read so much. So realistic and sad. I hope she gets her wish.

As a bookworm myself, I often experienced that annoyance of being buried in a book when random people try to talk to you. Seriously, I'm reading. Go away! And yes, she'll write children's books. Rhoxi has been surprisingly fun to write about. In many ways I share things in common (bookworm) and in many ways she is my opposite (way too girly, childish, I hate pink and yellow). I think being able to identify with her made it easy to add some realistic touches.

Rhoxi would make a lovely fairy. I think she should get that after everything else she has to give up to commit to the dynasty.

That's the idea! She looks very much like a fairy already, I think, so it suits her.

Although having Rhoxi do all that reading as a child/teen had to be boring for her watcher it's going to pay off in the end, great plan.

Rhoxi will make a beautiful fairy, hope she finds a terrific husband.

I'm so glad I learned the thing about reading books to write faster! I actually found out about it by reading another story.

Somehow all that reading reminds me of my own childhood  ??? I hope Rhoxi can get her wishes once everyone is free from the immortal requirements. It'd be nice to see another pink fairy child roaming around *cough*like Lester*cough* huh? I didn't say anything  ::)

Yup! I thought it would be a nice ending for Lester, too! He waited so very very long, but never got to be a part of the family.

Wow! You're almost finnished! Your rainbow family look just awesome. Rhoxi is beautiful. :)

Thanks! In some ways, I can't believe it's almost over. Have I been playing this family forever, or did I just start? Sometimes it feels like both!

Rhoxi's Many Stories

Here's Rhoxi after a young adult make-over. She decided to wash out the pink tips and grow her hair out.

She went back to her writing with gusto, determined to be the most popular children's author in Moonlight Falls.

Rhoxi got her first writing-related opportunity.

And was so excited that she decided to break down with some smustlin'.

She may be a gorgeous sim, but she still looks just as ridiculous as Lester when he smustled. Peas in a pod, eh?

Like many great writers, Rhoxi stuck to writing about what she knew best: her family history!

Her grams Samura was always going on about her many grandchildren, or reminiscing over days gone past.

Rhoxi's childish attention span didn't really care for listening to such long stories, but Samura rambled on anyway.

So it was unsurprising that her first series of books chronicled much of the family history. She wrote many best-sellers and hits, such as: "Gwenyth and the Time Machine", "Samura's Little Fish", and "The Flirtatious Genie."

After awhile though, Rhoxi spiraled into a fit of depression over the life she would never have. She began to write stories such as: "Why I'll Never Get Married", "Why I'll Never Have a Nooboo", and "Why it Sucks to be Number Eight." It was after she wrote "Chained to My Desk" that her publisher decided to send her a strongly worded letter of admonishment: Seriously Rhoxi, parents are worried you're turning into some sort of trashy woohoo author! I mean, "Chained to My Desk"?? Let's get some more appropriate titles, please.

So Rhoxi turned to writing as wish-fulfillment. She had heard about Lester, of course, from Samura's stories.

Samura: "Why you know, Rhoxi, if you want to meet him, go visit the graveyard!"

Rhoxi: "Ew, that's so gross! I don't want to meet him when he's old and ghosty! I want to meet him at the end, after we've both had young again potions. You're a powerful witch, you can resurrect him, yes? And we'll run away to some place exotic, and we'll get married, and he'll make me into a fairy, and we'll have ever so many children and---"

So Rhoxi released titles such as: "Lester, Pink and Fairy", "Lester, What if I Love You?", and "Pink Lovers, Separated by Time", along with: "Rhoxi Becomes a Fairy" and "Rhoxi's Fairy Children."

But while Rhoxi's career was booming with best-seller after best-seller, Lilith's music career had slowed to a crawl.

Lilith celebrated her elder birthday.

Here she is after her make-over:

(By the way, isn't Lilith an amazing-looking elder?)

On that day, Lilith received a promotion to level nine of her career. Now, one final promotion isn't usually something to worry about, but due to a weird combination of Seasons having a holiday every Tuesday, and one of her work days being buggy, Lilith could only go to work once a week. At that pace, Lilith would take three full weeks to max her career--which was time she probably didn't have.

So Lilith left the music career and registered as a self-employed alchemist.

The whole family pitched in to gather ingredients for rare potions. Samura fished, Darcy broke space rocks, and Gage and Gwenyth each took a motive mobile and a collection helper to search for bugs and rocks, respectively.

The result? Lilith maxed her new career in a single day.

And then she became: immortal.

*slow clap* This is the most amazing and awesome part of your whole dynasty, hands down.

Also, I like how Rhoxi has a crush on Lester, considering his desperation to get in when he was still alive.

....that's a lot of books.... but am I right to say that at this point she can write three or four children's books a day, maybe five or six if she abuses the right combination of elixirs? :)

Yes! So exciting! I feel like this is a train hurtling towards the finish, gathering speed as it goes! Which is unusual, I mean normally in dynasties the last generations drag. The book titles were very...enlightening.

Yeah, I think it's the same pain. (Except it's the pain of "OMG! They're killing off a TEN year old?!?! I love this kid!!!) Good thing no real hero stays dead. They always come back.
And congrats on Lilith becoming immortal! ;D

Lilith's elder clothes are beautiful! I think she's the best looking out of all the immortals, no doubt about it (in my opinion) ;) and that's a LOT of books! I can barely write one, let alone all those! Well, there's just too much juicy stuff to write about in the Dojo family  ;D love it!!

I laughed so loudly at "Everette the Baby Face" and "Everette's Photo Collection" that my mother came in to check if I was okay. I keep hearing her mutter things about "Li getting too invested in fictional characters", but those were hilarious and brilliant titles! Were those best-sellers? They should have been...

OH! I almost forgot about my main question. Is Rhoxi a self-employed writer, and if not, what is her career going to be?
