Also, I'm really impressed that Annalove hasn't gotten on your nerves after ghosting around the property for so long.  Good for you for letting her stick around, even if she died before she could be of actual use.

Also, poor Dewayne.  Even if not for being That Guy at the birthday party, having to break up with the mother of his seven children is rough luck.  Can't wait for more

One ghost isn't too bad, plus it provides for the occasional amusing faint when Gage sees her.

I've been reading some Life States Dynasties lately. It seems like a fun challenge. A little less restrictive about spouses, heirs, and such too which would make it a lot easier to be colorful!

There aren't actually many teen options for him, unfortunately, other than a babysitter. Sorry Percy, no teen romance for you!


Death and Immortality

Marivell is down in the basement when she suddenly starts to feel a little light-headed.

Sparkles drift over her, and she feels significantly less corporeal.



Grim finally came to take her away.



But while death comes to the Dojo household, new life is coming to the Runyon household. Dewayne presents his first nooboo with Nicole.



His last nooboo with Hailey, Terrill, also ages up to toddler.



Now that he is a teen, Percival gets started on his supermax skill, as well as his lifetime wish to have a perfect garden.



Marie also pursues her lifetime wish. With the athletic and kleptomaniac traits, it's no surprise that she wants to join the criminal career.

She comes home from work looking quite sheik. Who could object to such a lovely cat burglar?



Decker grew up into an adult cat, although I forgot to get a picture of the sparkles.

He helps keep my elders amused, since they have little else to do.





Then comes a second set of sparkles. It's time for Everette's elder birthday.





He throws an after-birthday party at the summer festival to help bump back up his relationships with his friends and decides to get his face painted.



He invited his ex-girlfriend Marissa to the party. It turns out that she took up the career path of magician.



Unfortunately, this is the last you will ever see of her. Grim came to take her away just after the party.

After Everette comes home and poses for his portraits, it's time for ambrosia. With face brightly painted, he takes his first bite.

He says thanks! Or, well, he would if he wasn't too grumpy to bother with stuff like that. Everette, stop being such a grouch! Next time, no grumpy trait. Just no. He randomly insults his family members on a fairly regular basis, but then he asks to play catch (Loves the Outdoors) and the relationship goes right back up.

I'm playing quite a bit ahead of writing, so I don't remember exactly. I'm thinking . . . 104? Gage and Marivell did try for baby almost immediately after turning young adults, but still--living till your child is almost an elder is pretty good!

Supermaxing photography was actually pretty easy. I mean, you have to manually take the photos, so you can't tell them to skill up and then zone out. On the other hand, it's instantaneous, no long hours of just skilling. I did have to do some weird things for collections though. I can't believe I forgot to mention that Marivell actually spent most of her elder years at the drafting table to max the stylist profession, just so Everette could get a photo of "Top Brass" for the Ambitions collection. Whoops! Thanks for that, Marivell, and R.I.P.

Also, the face paint was adorable on him!

Thanks! Yeah, he does. He has a mobile motive thing though, so he stays in a good mood. I have Gage help with the children, too, since he's family oriented.

Martial Arts Equipment: Finally!

Dewayne and Nicole's first child, Marci, ages up to toddler.



Not long after, she is joined by twin sisters.

Percival ages up to young adult with a small family celebration.



I decided he looked good with a bit of facial hair. Also, I think he grew up quite handsome! He might be the best looking male sim in this dynasty, in my opinion.



He had a rather uneventful teen life stage, with no romance. On the other hand, he did max and almost supermax gardening, as well as complete his lifetime wish to have a perfect garden.

With little else to do, Percival decides to spice things up by taking a career in professional sports. He gets to work on getting buff.



He's not the only Dojo concerned about his physique.

Marie is quite happy when I finally allow her access to that martial arts equipment I've been hiding in my family inventory for so many generations. Her life time wish is Physical Perfection, which requires maxing both athletics and martial arts.



She's quite the natural.



Of course, Marie isn't the only one who's excited about the new martial arts room. Samura, after all, has been just sitting on that disciplined trait for years!

Originally I'd intended to have everyone learn martial arts, just for fun and in line with the theme ("dojo" dynasty). I held back just in case I might need the extra supermax, but as things are getting closer to the end I decided I was comfortable with it. There are still several back-up skills left.



Besides, sometimes you just gotta do something new to keep your game interesting.



What could be more entertaining than watching a bunch of elders karate kick each other in home sparring matches?

You know, it's interesting to me sometimes to see which sims people find attractive. I've been a little surprised by the amount of compliments Everette has gotten. I guess the baby-face look isn't really my type. Although, to be fair, he's also received a lot more attention from me story-wise so far, too. Percival really did have a dull bunch of teen years, so there wasn't much to write about him.

Maybe she's upset to be disqualified from the hunt for generation six's spouse due to lack of rainbowness (even though she did get the yellow eyes)! You know, early on, getting pulled in as a dynasty spare is tough luck, lots of skilling. But at this point in the game, joining a dynasty as a spare is like winning the loto! You get a very pampered life and can pursue your LTW!


Wereboos, Red Glows, and Genies, Oh My!

After an incident at the inventing table, Dewayne begins to realize that death can't be too far off.



He decides it's time to pick up the pace on producing more nooboos and begins a relationship with werewolf Mara Nix.



Here he is with their fist two wereboos.

A boy, whose name I can't recall at the moment:



And a girl, Doreen.



Gage checks up on Dewayne's other family with Nicole Runyon.

Gage is always a popular guest. With all of his tutoring lessons, he's best friends with all of the extended family, which, let's face it, is about half the town's population.



He tutors the Runyon girls through their school work as well.



After a few more hours in the garden, Percival completes his supermax.



I sent Marie out to the graveyard and, when I check up on her, I see this!

She's getting slapped around by one of Nolan's children, Virginia Van Gould.



You better be careful, Virginia. Don't you know that Marie is now Empress of Evil?

Ut oh, she's got the red glow. She must be mad. Run!



The graveyard was quite busy that night. I've been keeping tabs on the extended family, so when any of them die, their graves are removed from the mausoleum and they get a plot in the graveyard.

Here you can see Beatrice, Nolan, and Marivell, although there were a few of Nolan's children that wandered out of the screenshot.



When she returns home, Marie ages up to elder and gets a make-over.





Percival decides to make a wish with a genie, when he suddenly realizes just how beautiful she is.



Percival: "Um, for what's worth, you've got my vote for best potential spouse any day!"



He goes for a bold move and snatches his first kiss!



A romance for Percival, at last!
