Quadruples in SIMS 3!

I started a Life Stages Dynasty two days ago, and finally finished the 7 heir requirements. And not too soon! I had 7 days of adulthood left for my founder (Twilah Aching, female human with an obsession with werewolves). So I had her try for baby with her husband Angus, and then I had her watch Kidz Zone and listen to Kids music to further the chance for twins. All went well, until birthing day came...First came Meith, then Magrat, then Paedar and I though *whew, triplets!!*......and then came Piper!!  Two boys and two girls. My first quadruple birth. I'm going to die looking after four, I just know it!!  And of all four, only Meith is a were. Well, at least I have one new life stage! 

I only have the saver mod installed - I usually get drawn so deeply into my game, I forget to save - since this is a challenge. Here's a pic of the four darlings in their cots (Twilah is holding Piper, the youngest born)

only the saver mod?  I know NRaas had set something up to have quadruplets, didn't know EA had.  Lucky you... you might want to invest in the baby swings that help satisfy the babies needs or you're going to go crazy! haha!

Quadruplets still aren't actually able to be done in Sims 3 according to their code.  It sounds like you got the old baby glitch and be glad that it stopped at four.   There was once a glitch in the game where a pregnant sim eating grilled cheese to get the wish would get the infinite baby loop.  There are also other triggers for it that happen on occassion.   I had a game where a sim who didn't watch kids tv or listen to the radio have 33 babies before I just quit the game. 


Also, you know that all mods including the saving one are banned for the Life States Dynasty right?

Oh, then I'm glad it stopped at four!! I didn't know the saver was also banned....bummer. Does that mean I have to restart, or can I just uninstall it immediately?

I've never heard of this before, it must be one of the funniest Sims 3 glitches ever!!

Metro gives the ok for you to continue but make sure you uninstall every mod before you play again.   I would suggest doing a factory reset for your other games that you like to play with mods - leaving the folder you're using now to be mod free for your Life States Dynasty.  This is how I do it and it's not very hard to juggle the two.

Oh what a relief! Thank you so very, very much!! I'll definitely go uninstall everything and do a factory reset right now.

Did you get the chance to see where the babies go, or was it still in the loop when you quit? I can imagine that 4 would still be allowed in the household, but I'm kind of curious now where it sent the ones it couldn't technically fit in the household....

It was still in the loop when it quit.   There was one person who finally stopped at 82 infants and uploaded the household to the exchange.  I downloaded the family once and basically you only see 8 portrait panels.  Everyone else is missing but if you attempt to change who you're targeting you had the ability to lose control of the mom and that was just horrible because you really do lack options when you're just an infant.

Haha, yeah I can tell. I am not a smart person when it comes to infants in the Sims sometimes. I'll forget that I'm watching the nooboo's needs and then go click on something and freak out my game isn't working.

Whenever I am playing an important file, I set a 15-minute timer on my cell phone, and save every time it goes off. That way, if my game does decide to freeze up or crash, I will only have lost a max of 15 minutes of playing time.

I noticed that in your first post you said that you had started your dynasty two days ago. This means that you started your game on the 13th of September the life state dynasty did not even go live until the 14th of September.
You are starting again anyway so this is not a problem anymore. Just remember that in this and all other challanges that Metropolis Man sets there is an official start date to be followed.

Rachel, depending on timezones I believe it could have been two calendar days. I'm not going to check now, but it is possible.

The time frame is still the same no matter what time zone and Rachel is right.  We officially posted the rules on September 14th at 12:50 PM.  The first post of this thread is September 15th at 11:24 am.  So the post said two days ago even though the contest had only been open for less than 24 hours.

I didn't check the times before I looked. I just know that sometimes evening of one day, plus 24 hours, to morning of the next, can be less than 48 hours and still two days. It's my mistake, with less than 24 hours it can't be done.
