How do you get a downloaded Sim to show up in your inventory/game?

I've downloaded several Sims for my remodel of Barnacle Bay and while they show up in my launcher as downloaded and installed, they do not show up in my game in either my library or CAS.  How do I get them to show up so I can use them?

All I could suggest is redownload them. It doesn't always work the first time. ;D

I would look in the download directory and delete it first   before downloading again. Then, instead of installing through the launcher, double click on the file in the downloads folder. It will still go through the launcher. it it sometimes works  better for me.

I'm glad someone else asked this question because I have had the same problem. Does anyone know how often this works (compared to not working)? Also, how many sims can you add to the library? I've added 2 sims that show up, but none after those two have shown up. Thanks in advance.

Thank you all for your help.  Most of my Sims are now available.  Still have to figure out a few of them.
