Congrats on finishing!

As for Vizard of Vine, I've heard of it not registering immediately or ever, even with the proper precautions taken. Though we are pretty nice with allowing players to count it if they put on the work and ask kindly.

My third generation has had a wish about photography in his que forever. It had been completed but it will not register. May I use it for requirements? I'm not sure if I'll need it but just in case.

Is it the sell $5,000 worth of photographs?  Something similar?  Can't use that wish, as nobody can, the wish is bugged for everyone.

Does making a mummy break the rules?
Can a Simbot count for your best friend?
(I have  the Monster Maker LTW.)
Oh and can children from the time travel machine join the household as spares after you have the heir.

Don't think that's ever been brought up. Simbots don't join your household when you make them unless you choose for them to, while I'm not sure if mummies are brought into the household when made or not. That's all I can bring to the table.

Time Machine children are fine but only after your heir is born, yes.

From my own permitted play, Simbots can be made, but you must choose Release Into Wild. My genie made a Simbot (C-3PO), and he left immediately.

However, having never ever ever had a mummy, how does one make them? I would think that if you're talking about the elixir from Supernatural, it wouldn't be any different than the vampire/fairy/witch/werewolf/genie elixir, where it changes them but doesn't necessarily make them a household member.

However, pretty sure that elixirs changing a lifestate are still banned.

So I guess, how else would you make a mummy?

Does making a mummy break the rules?

Depends on how you make the mummy.  If you are using mummy elixir, then yes you are breaking the rule.  If you are using a cursed sarcophagus, then no you are not breaking the rule.

Can a Simbot count for your best friend?

Yes, only if you release the simbot into the wild.  As soon as you finish making your simbot, you have the option to keep or release.

The cursed sarcophagus is what you make with the canopic jars right?  Wait did anyone know if they joined the household?

Oh and was there other monsters you could make other then Simbots and Mummies for Monster Maker.

Heh totally forgot there was a mummy elixir.

Only mummies and simbots count as monsters for monster maker lifetime wish.  The summoned mummy is added to the household.

This is from our own Carl's guide:

How to Get a Mummy: The Free Mummy Method
This way is the best, as it won't require your Sim transform at all. In fact, you'll get a free mummy that you can control. Here's how: assemble a collection of 5 canopic jars. Once you've got them all, you can place them into a Sarcophagus. They'll be transmuted into a mummy for your control.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to a 100% success rate. You'll need to hit up plenty of Egyptian Tombs to find the Canopic Jars, because they are found only there. Note that only the Canopic Jars that count toward a set will work. The regular jars you find are just loot to sell. You can check that you're using the right ones by noting that the jars are not in the stack with your other Egyptian loot.
The Sims 3 World Adventures: The Blessed and Cursed Sarcophagus of Kings along with a Mummy

Method Two: Turn Your Sim into a Mummy
This method requires you to assemble a Cursed Sarcophagus of Kings. Sleeping inside one of them will raise your Sim's athletic skill. The "drawback" here, is that your Sim will eventually be cursed and turn into a mummy. It takes about 16 hours of sleeping to cause this. The way to reverse this is to sleep in a Blessed Sarcophagus for 8 or more hours.

As long as the simbot doesn't get added into the household, you can count them as best friend.  When you buy the simbot using LTR, you have the option to choose whether to keep or release right?  You must release them into the wild, can't keep.

The LTR doesn't give you the option, they're auto-added to the household.

Thanks Shirin.

@mysteriousways143
1) You cannot use LTR to get simbot for your monster maker lifetime wish.  Since the LTR simbot is automatically added to the household, this breaks the rule.
2) You will have to use simbot created from inventing or mummies for your lifetime wish.
3) The simbot created from inventing must be released into the wild upon completion.  You can use that simbot for your best friend requirement.
