Personally I'd love to know what differs with this challenge compared to the immortal one where I never crashed, I had a point of barely managing two weeks play time before crashing constantly with this one, I removed Seasons, Pets, Uni and Showtime and started over and this time crashing started around gen 5, I haven't traveled, I bought up what community lots I could and got rid of parking spaces around town, I get little lag at all but it still randomly crashes.

I enjoy the challenge of a dynasty but the bugs do get frustrating, for a shorter somewhat easier challenge than the immortal one this has given me far more technical headaches and it was on a fresh install with half of the content I used in the other one  :-\ The only major difference I have in this game is the occults, they were turned off before, perhaps it's something with them maybe.

I had to rearrange my kitchen at one point as the fridge got blocked by an invisible object I could not get rid of, thankfully it showed up after I moved somebody in, it was another social jig rug, those things are so irritating, I feel that's where the frustration comes from mainly, it's not the challenge or the gameplay it's the bugs that you know are so easily fixed but you can't if you want HoF, I guess it's a choice on the players part in the end. I may try the other two dynasties at some stage but whether I'll try HoF or not depends on my tolerance levels at the time.

Yeah, I had those social jig rugs you just called them too.  Do you know what causes that?  I had a couple of them in my living room, and I even went to a townie house towards the end, and there was one in their house.

I have a quick question about spouse regulations. Can I move a spouse in, then have them forsake their vampire state so that the next gen can be normal?

I'm not a mod for this board, but from all the stories I've read this is completely legal. So long as no other heir has been a human, moving anyone in and having them change their lifestate (so long as it's not through elixirs) is completely ok. You could probably send him to the Science Center to have him cured as well.
Personally, I've moved in human Sims and had them bitten to become a vampire, I've also seen someone move in an elder sim in hopes for them to die and become an old-age ghost (though don't take that one to heart, I think the person who did this did not have Supernatural and was limited by their choice of life states). I wouldn't take my word as law until you hear from a mod though. :)

Yes you can. You can also have them go to the Science Lab to get the cure, because it's not an elixir. You can cure a supernatural in any way that doesn't involve an elixir made with alchemy.

Couldn't find the answer to this in the ruleset, but don't know if it's been asked already in the thread. Sorry if it has!

I'd like to give my vampire heir the vamp-specific LTR from Supernatural. However, it would make her immortal, and the rules don't allow any age-extending until all her requirements are complete. If I gave it to her as her last one when everything else was complete, would it be allowed? I'm thinking that'd be similar to allowing the "Have First Child" wish if it's the last one completed.

No worries if not, it's not like I've got a shortage of LTR to give out. Just would be nice for her to be immortal that way!

It is like the "Have First Child" wish: it can be used as a requirement if and only if every single other requirement is completed.

I looked back through the posts but I couldn't see this asked anywhere -- apologies if I missed it. Can nanites or trait chips be used as the 7 items?

Only product of a skill can be counted as the 7 items.  Nanites are collected from the wild and trait chips are the product of bot making skill, am I correct?

Both nanites and trait chips can be created by a sim with the bot building skill. I can't see any obvious reason why they wouldn't count, but since they aren't on the list linked from the FAQ I thought it would be safest to check before going ahead.

Yep, you're fine with both as long as the Nanites are made and not found.

I was wondering about when requirements have to be finished. My founder Cerulean has five clay sculptures before she has to have a kid, and she has a million potent invigorators. Can she try for baby? I'm sure she'll have her requirements done before the kids come.

Requirements have to be finished before you try for baby, unless one of your requirements involves the "Have First Child" wish, in which case, you kind of have to try for baby first.
