If I notice an EA original townie who should have full traits but only has two, can I roll for three more? It appears to be dropped traits bug.

You have to take them as-is with their two traits.

ok, I've decided to give this one a go. There's something I'm not clear on with regards to my founder and his spouse.

I've decided on a died by electrocution ghost as my founder and set him down in Midlight Falls. Now, when it comes to him getting married and his spouse moving in, can she move in now, and get married later and have gen 2 later as well? Or do I need to wait until all of the 7 'Add next heir' requirements are completed (and they are ready to make gen 2) before I can move her in/have my founder marry her?

You can add a spouse whenever it is convenient for you to add a spouse.

On 06/16/2014, the following changes were made:

Players playing in Union Cove are allowed these changes to improve performance:

- Removal of extraneous parking lots via Edit Town.

- Removal of extraneous trees and shrubs via Edit Town.

Please note that these fixes are allowed only if you are playing in Union Cove.

I am super excited to say that I completed my life states dynasty!!!  It wasn't easy.  I had to buy ram for my computer and had to uninstall and reinstall all my sims games.  Also, I bought Dragon Valley because I heard how wonderfully smooth it runs.  Man they sure were right, I recommend that town to anyone, it is fabulous.  Now, I have to figure out how to get my pictures up on the completed thread.

Congratulations Christinal  :D

I have yet another question, the rules say:

Quote
Spouses/partners of heirs are free to come and go in the Dynasty house

Can I take that to mean a previous household member who moved out can come back again if their spouse asks them to?

Gen sixes husband wont be staying as they don't really get on too well and it's causing me more hassle than it's worth, but I had to move people out so gen 7 could be born and I'd like to move one of them back in, it's the come and go part that makes me think that is okay but I may be reading it wrong. Don't want to mess up now when I'm almost at the end because I misunderstood.

Yay, congrats on finishing! And yay for DV fans! But mostly, good job! I'll look for your thread!

Turoskel, my understanding is that once they move out, they can't move back in as only the heir is allowed to move in a spouse.

You can invite a spouse or spare back into the household after moving them out, but spouses can be added back in only by the heir that married them, and spares can be added back in only by the heir that is their parent.

And 'grats on finishing, Christinal.  :)

Ah right, that is how I interpreted it Trip, just wasn't sure if I was reading it right, so as long as his wife asks I'm okay, thanks so much for that info, that will make life easier as he was my 'do everything the others aren't allowed to' sim. That way I don't have to think about who is or isn't meant to do something I just get him to do it instead.

Oh and my gen 7 got athletic as well, that's makes 3 of them since gen 2 maxed it, unbelievable  ::)

Um, I think my game is endlessly spawning random homeless townies on one of the properties. All the spawned people have the same clothes, too (males all dressed alike and females all dressed alike). Can anyone give me some advice about what to do? They're really causing my game to lag and every time I try to reset them, more just take their place.

Are they all a part of the same "profession," such as them all being proprietors or something? I don't know the fix, but I've heard of the game spawning dozens of proprietors or social workers for no explicable reason.

I don't know if they're part of a profession, they're all on one of the big residential lots where the owner still lives, and I haven't seen them wandering around town. I only know they're there now because my founder was working a PI case and one of them was the end of the chain. The men all have a yellow sweater with white shirt, brown pants, and the light brown business shoes from the base game. The women have light brown blazers with yellow shirts underneath, a brown, knee-length skirt, and brown heels.

Edit: I don't think they're proprietors because I don't have that expansion pack, I'm running Seasons, SN, UL, Pets, Gen, WA, and Ambitions

Edit 2: I tried resetsim * and it got rid of the spawned people (I think).

I have another question for any DV players: have the dragons ever stopped working for people? My sims aren't getting the dragon moodlets nor their needs refilled. Even new dragons are having this problem.

I know if you delete your ccmerged package file from the dcbackup folder that all the store content won't work correctly.

I want to thank everyone who congratulated me on my dynasty.  You certainly have to have dedication to finish one of those.

I am going to probably waste my breath right now, and I know that what I am going to say has probably already been said by someone else.  I still just want to extend my situation with this dynasty because I probably went too far to complete it.  Dragon Valley was mostly lag free, and I didn't really experience many bugs besides the typical dropped traits, corrupt uniform, and plagued firefighter profession.  Although, my game crashed, a lot.  It was so ridiculous.  I wanted to finish this so bad that I spent a decent of money adding additional ram to my computer.  It helped some, but it still crashed.  I know that this can be easily fixed.  I want to say that before I had some computer issues before, I never put a mod in my game.  I had no desire to mod it.  Once it was back working again, the patches and expansions that were released while I wasn't able to play ruined it.  It is so messed up now, and I just know that there is one mod that is completely free and reliable would completely take away 99% of these players problems, overwatch.  I understand not allowing mods, I really do.  Most of them change gameplay, but it doesn't.  I am so torn because I want to do another dynasty so bad, but for what.  A month of headache and frustration.  There is other stuff out there you can do, but none of the other legacy/challenges are backed by an awesome community that get together and honor those who finish.  How fantastic is that!  That is something I want to be apart of.  I don't know, I am almost positive this won't change anything, but I have to try.  I think that most people who want to go through this challenge is playing with nothing but dignity.  I am not rallying for story progression or master controller, just overwatch.  Sorry for the long post.
