I'm sorry if this has already been asked and answered, but after setting my starting funds to 7000 using the testing cheats, my Sim goes from 18 days until aging up to 108 days until aging up. I'm fully patched and in fact just got my Sims re-installed yesterday. What do I do?

That's just weird. Did you check your age settings? Try again with a new file?

I did both of those. I first noticed it on my current restart after a few sim days had passed. I figured maybe I hadn't set the options right, but they were correct. So I started it new again, checked all the options before creating a new game, loaded up UC Seasons, created a new Sim through the create-a-sim option, moved her into her lot, and verified her age as 18 days until aging up. I put in the testingcheats code and looked at her age again before I set the familyfunds and it showed 108 days.

@JSBrantner

So when you load the game, her age is 18 days.  But after you type in testingcheats code, her age is 108 days -- before you set familyfunds?  So typing one line of testingcheatsenabled makes your sim age weird?

Exactly. Typing in the testing cheats false doesn't change it back to 18 either.

What life state is your founder? I noticed that my fairy would do the same thing. Start at 10-18 days, and then jump to triple digits.

My fairy does that too. Jump from 18 days from aging to 108, maybe because at first the game did recognized her as human but, as it load the game recognize her as a fairy.

The things you forget in nearly a year, lol. Yes, she is a fairy and it does explain the age jump. Thanks for reminding me about that.

I have a question about heirs. My founder is a normal human, and his daughter a witch. She married a ghost. The first child was a regular human, non ghost, so not the heir. The second child is a ghost, but also a witch. Does she count as the heir because of her ghostliness, despite also being a witch like her mother?

Question

Can the heir DNA clone their spouse? (I know they would have to be a young adult at the time)

Also just to Double Check you can throw fountain of youth elixirs at people outside the household?

I can't find the ruling about the cloning, but I'm fairly positive that as long as the heir is doing the cloning, as a young adult, you should be fine. I just honestly cannot remember if they also had to collect the DNA, or if a non-heir could do that for the future heir. (Not sure why the heir would have had to collect the DNA since, y'know, just marry the original specimen, but you just never know.)

Also, the age extension restrictions apply only to heirs, so non-heirs should also be ok for the elixirs. However, be aware that the elixir can cause strange aging glitches where the sim(s) stop aging altogether, unless you restart the game. Then they age for a day or two, and stop aging again (I've personally run into it in the 4x4 Dynasty).
