For Life States Dynasties in Bridgeport, do the rules allow for Buena Vista Resort, Bogaard Overlook or Civic Plaza to be converted into a residential lot? If not, is there a designated lot in which we can place the founder? Are we just supposed to create a new lot using World Editor?

The rules state you have to place your founder on an empty lot.  You're allowed to delete one of the auto placed lots to put them somewhere else to create an empty lot.

I seem to have a glitch where my Founder gives birth to a never-ending supply of babies. I've had this happen twice now and each time the only solution is to force quit. Should I go back to a save before she became pregnant?
From the moment I fell down that rabbit hole I've been told what I must do and who I must be. I've been shrunk, stretched, scratched and stuffed into a teapot. I've been accused of being Alice, and of not being Alice, but this is my dream. I'll decide where it goes from here.

What's the deal with the extra trait slot?  Do I just accept what it suggests or do I roll for it?

Because there isn't much variety in the trait suggested (nerds always get computer whiz suggested in my game), you roll it once.

@Sunshine: That sounds horrible. :( Hope that you have a fix approved soon.

I'm planning on using photographs as my founder's mausoleum piece but I have a couple of questions:

1) Do all the photos have to be the same size?
2) Do they all have to have a registered subject?

They don't have to be the same size, and the rules don't say anything about photos for the mausoleum needing proper subjects.

Thanks Trip, I hope so too. Luckily I've not been in a simming mood lately so it's not as annoying as it would be :P

Is the constrain floor elevation building cheat allowed?

• In general, all cheats are banned. If you have a stuck Sim and need to reset him/her, go ahead and use the cheat. Building cheats and ones used for screenshots are fine, too. Anything that does not give you some kind of advantage is probably going to be okay. If in doubt — ask. Be specific as to what the cheat is used for. Exiting without saving to avoid an unfortunate event is considered cheating.

So yes, CFE is just fine.

I have a bit of a weather problem at the moment. The temperature is stuck at -6 degrees even though it's Summer, which means none of the snow from Winter or Spring will melt. My game is running very slowly because it. Is there anything I can do? Could I use testingcheats to change the temperature so that it's normal?

EDIT: I've got a new problem now. My screen has gone completely blank (a blueish grey colour) apart from the bars at the bottom. It happened just after I took a screenshot using Tab. I can pause, check my Sim's motives, etc, but I can't see anything else on the screen. I tried sending my Founder's husband to China which was normal but when I sent him home, everything went blank again. Is this a known problem? Is there anything I can do to fix it or do I have to go back to a previous save? I really don't want to do the latter because my heir had just been born and the only save I had before that we just after she got pregnant.

...The Alchemist career is quick and easy to max as you can consign any elixirs, not just the ones you make yourself. I once, with a decent amount of money, mastered the career in a single day and made a lot of cash as well. The bonus is that reaching the top of the career provided another 5000 point wish. So I recommend doing it before you start the reward career as it can be done quickly.

Wow, you mastered the career in a day!!! Now you're making me think there is something wrong with my game... or I'm just a bad player, (LOL). I also read that Rica's teens got to level 3 of their part-time career in like 4 sim-days... it took me the whole two weeks! What am I doing wrong?

I must add that my first founder had the "brooding" trait and I started all over because she kept wandering off, my new founder also keeps wandering off, or I cue him to do something and he kinds of thinks it over.

The fastest way to max the alchemist career is to buy out the elixir shop and reconsign elixirs, since any elixir counts towards the career. With that method, it can really be done in a day.

As for the mausoleum clerk career, always send your teens there on time and in a good mood, and use the "work hard" tone.

Try going back to a previous save. Your file may have become corrupted with traveling. I have have had that happen. Lots of us have.
