um, if you mean going to the map and trying the reset there, yep, I tried that too.

No I meant just using the command "resetSim *".  You don't have to be in map mode and you never go into Edit Town without permission.

I've never gone into the Edit Town. The resetSim command either didn't work or its effects were delayed because after several resets, the sim was still stuck until after I called her household over.

I think they meant that they moved to where you could see the neighborhood like in edit town, but just on pause in sim mode not edit town.

I just qued a wish to earn 20k sculpting for 10,000 points


Also how and where do you disable memories? Is it something that can be done after you start the game without failing to get HOF?

Disabling memories is done  under options but if you didn't do it when you set up the file, then no it can't change.

What if you did it as soon as it became an option? That's fine for older files, right?

It became available in a patch and you had to be patched before you started.

I'm fairly certain it was the Supernatural or Seasons patch so last fall.   Everyone should have already been patched for this around the time that this dynasty went live or shortly thereafter.  Memories were a part of the game with a patch and the fix for them was also part of a patch.  No EPs needed.

It was the pre-seasons patch, the same one that messed up marriage, so the update came a long time ago.

In that case, I specifically remember not playing the file since then because I stopped in the middle of a wedding.

They fixed it with patch 1.47.
