Is there some way to grab tombstones from community lots? I can only pick up the generic "remains" objects, but not the useful tombstones.

I think you have to befriend the resident ghost before you can pick up their personal headstone.

Can someone please make this make more sense to me?
As far as I had interpreted the rule so far was that you could pick any empty lot, buy it, and then use the familyfunds cheat to bring the founder's simoleons down to 7,000. Is this correct or am I totally out there or otherwise? (I haven't started a Life State Dynasty yet but i want this to be conformed before I do, Thanks all ^^)

Since you start off with §16,500, the purchase price of your lot must be no greater than §9500. If the purchase price of the lot exceeds §9500, then the lot is ineligible for purchase.

Also, if the remains are in an enclosed space, like fenced off, you can't swipe them. You can buy the grave yard though, and have a klepto 'swipe' the remains. You can move other things out of the way to make it easier, too.

Read the actual rule.    Read the part I have bolded, underlined & italicized.   Tell me what part of that is hard to understand so I can clear the confusion up for you and everyone else.

What Shirin said makes more sense than the original rule, at least to me. It could be that i've been having a brunette moment, but for some reason the at least 7,000 simoleons left wasn't clicking for me. ^^"
Thanks Shirin^^

Two quick questions:
1. Do trophies from the gardening contest count towards anything?
2. Can Marry [First Name] be used more than once (for different generations) and still count, because each sim is marrying a different person, giving the wish a different name?

Thanks in advance!

Don't know the answer to the first one, but yes to the second one.

I had just found the answer to the second question on page 2, but thanks anyway. Good to check in case the rules changed.

Trophies from the gardening contest do not count because they are not part of any specific career. You can use them as decorations in your home though.

I think you have to befriend the resident ghost before you can pick up their personal headstone.

Your relationship with the ghost needs to be at the high end of 'friend', close to 'good friend', to get the option.

I received a gift from another sim and it was worth 75,000 simoleons, so I sold it. I just wanted to make sure that was ok.

That's perfectly fine.   Always nice to have rich friends!

Thank you for the quick response.  Also, my sim is going through a mid-life crisis and she has commitment issues trait and wants to divorce her husband. My sim is the founder, and they already had an heir who has aged up to a child already.  Can I divorce him?

Yes. There is no requirement for the spouse to stay in the household in the Life States Dynasty.
